The‘cape2cape trek’ supports youth mental health LOOKING FOR A CHALLENGE? We invite you to join us for the 2019 ‘cape2cape trek’ THE CAPE2CAPE TREK IS A KEY FUNDRAISER FOR YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH CHARITY ZERO2HERO About zero2hero zero2hero educates, engages and empowers young people to be mental health heroes in the community. This includes programs that develop the resiliency of young people which educates and empowers them to support their own mental health and wellbeing, plus equipping young leaders with the skills required to prevent suicide in their community. About cape2cape Hosted by zero2hero, the cape2cape trek sees participants trek 135 kms over 5 days from Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse to Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse in the South West of Western Australia. The trek is both physically and mentally challenging and each participant takes it on to make a difference to the lives of young people by fundraising to assist zero2hero in their vision. Trekkers can choose to attend with a team or as an individual. Cape Naturaliste Cape to Cape Track Key Trek Difficulty Location This adventure looks to see Resting Spot Dunsborough participants become their own heroes Geographe Bay in embarking upon the challenge and Starting Point achieving personal or team goals. This trek requires you to have a mindset Hamelin Bay of commitment and endurance, a can-do attitude and tenacity. The cape to cape Deepdene Foul Bay Lighthouse is more often undertaken over 7-9 days, therefore to tackle the whole walk over 5 Cape Hamelin Augusta days is a great challenge which requires a moderate to advanced level of fitness. Cape Leeuwin 33 km The ‘cape2cape trek’ aims to: • To challenge and inspire trekkers • To increase mental health and well-being in our community • To fundraise crucial funds for zero2hero’s youth suicide prevention programs • To connect with like-minded corporate and community leaders • To empower teams and mental health ambassadors Cost: $3,000 Total Each Trekker is required to secure their place with a $1,000 registration donation plus fundraise an additional target of $2,000 (minimum) per trekker Registration Donation: This covers all trek costs, including catering, 3+ star accommodation for 5 nights, insurance and trek facilitation plus WHEN activities, speakers as listed below Fundraising Commitment: An additional $2,000 Sunday 31st March minimum fundraising target required by each trekker. (arrival briefing & dinner) The Trek walks from Monday 1st – Friday 5th April 2019.
