Garrick (1982), (1: 160 cm TL male mounted skin, syntype), Puerto Rico [MNHN A9650]. bull shark. 2Garrick (1982: 188) could not place this species with confidence from the written description, but it best fit acronotus or porosus. 3Garrick (1982: 131) believes that Backus' record was most likely galapagensis and found Randall's specimen to vary from eastern Pacific specimens; further specimens are needed for confirmation.
