Form 192 (I) Issue 14, Aug 2007 BRITISH PARACHUTE ASSOCIATION DROPPING ZONES CONTACT TELEPHONE NUMBERS & RADIO FREQUENCIESBPA Form 192 (Ii) Is Numbers 1 – 26 refer to BPA Affiliated Clubs (Dropping Zones) Listed over are the Club names and the Dropping Zone (DZ) names, together with their contact telephone number(s) and the VHF frequencies they can be contacted on. 12 The UK Air Pilot (AIP) contains 20 details of the nominated ATSU that 21 clubs contact prior to operating on 24 any particular day. The initial call to determine whether a club (DZ) is active should be to the nominated 10 14 ATSU (shown on CAA Aeronautical Charts). 16 3 1 Please note: The phone numbers given here are not formal ATSUs. They are general contact numbers for parachute clubs and the person 11 22 2 answering may not be in a position to give accurate operational 9 13 23 information. If there is no answer 26 from these numbers (or from the 18 radio frequencies) it does not mean 6 that parachuting is not taking place. This will not only have residential homes with hangars, garages and the obligatory sauna but hotels, a marina, camp site and holiday homes all to go with the state of the art aircraft maintenance facility and training school (linked to the local Applied Sciences University) and runway. Two runways, both hard and soft, if the planners approve my idea for the additional soft. The possibility of an Air Traffic Control training centre may also be on the cards. Once again my thanks to Paul Tallet and Mark at Progression Marketing for setting the front cover of this Spring issue and to Paul for supplying the image and to all those who have contributed to this Newsletter.
