YBU BOARD OF DIRECTORS Youth Business University's Next Generation Wealth Builders Seminar was well suited to my I met with the 6 Economics students' needs and was highly effective and motivational. Because of the students today and I Economics "high-stakes end of course test," I was somewhat apprehensive about pulling my students was impressed with for a class period. However I was relieved and enthusiastic when I discovered three things about the their Sharp Tank YBU seminar. One, the introductory materials on Insurance and Investment, Earnings and Education Competition levels were closely linked to our state standards and EOCT content vocabulary and concepts. Presentation! Secondly the material was appropriately delivered with good audio-visual support. Third, my Vernita E. Byrd, students learned needed material and internalized the compelling and morale-building message. Ed.D., Counselor, David Shanet Clark, M.Ed. During the 2015 – 2016 school year, YBU has served over 80 students involving my business classes and they presented classes on Life and Business Skills. Cynthia Bryant, Business Ed Teacher, Towers High School, FBLA Advisor

Thank you Jeffery! I think the Next Generation Wealth Builders event at McNair High School was amazing – great job. Rodrigo Visbal, Accountant, Cherry Bekaert

Thank you for the quality time spent with our business students regarding the Youth Business University Next Generation Wealth Builders Seminar on November 10, 2015. Mr. Green and I both enjoyed the information you and your team presented and look forward to another opportunity for our students next semester. I received GREAT feedback from my students and they really enjoyed the invaluable information shared at the workshop. Victoria Williams-Bryant, Business Ed Teacher, Cross Keys High School, FBLA Advisor

The seminar on 11/18/15 was engaging. I received some very important tips about banking, insurance, investing, college planning, and keeping/maintaining good and excellent credit. Anonymous, McNair High School

This is absolutely amazing! I’ve never seen this kind of response from students (95) at Tri-Cities High School - even if only half show up for the after-school program, it’s a win. Nona Franklin, LCSW, Director of Programs, Communities In Schools

…Youth Business University served Towers High School's Business Classes, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, and Rachel’s Challenge involving several youth, programs, and workshops (i.e., entrepreneurship, career development, and life skills) since 2013.

They also played a key role in Towers’ FBLA, receiving a $6,500 grant from Chick-fil-A Leader Academy in 2015. YBU is an organization that is equipping, challenging, and positively impacting the mindset of the next generation. It is truly preparing today’s youth to be strategic, relevant, and business-minded as they plan to become corporate citizens and global leaders. Dr. Phyllis P. Mills, Ed.D, Work-Based Learning Coordinator, DeKalb County School District

The seminar on 11/18/15 was great. I loved it. It's way better than a college fair. I prefer this any day. Victor, 11th Grade Student, McNair High School

I would like to know more about bonds and stocks. I loved the seminars on 11/18/15. We are lucky to have this. Kissiah, 11th Grade Student, McNair High School

The event at McNair High School on 11/18/15 was both engaging and interactive. It provided students an opportunity to view money/finances and spending in a way that was not only beneficial, but foreign to them, thus opening their perspectives and broadening their horizons. Alex Domond, Site Coordinator, Communities In Schools

Thank you for sharing Mr. Henderson. I am very pleased to hear that our students are taking advantage of such an awesome opportunity! Dionne Butler, Partnerships Manager, Communities In Schools
