TAV Airports to host 11th ACI Training Centre

Geneva, 2 September 2010 – Airports Council International (ACI) and TAV Airports are pleased to announce their agreement to open a new ACI Training Centre, making the 11th global training hub in the world. This strategic location will enable ACI to continue to pursue its objective of bringing ACI training opportunities closer to the airport staff and management teams. The new centre will serve both TAV airport employees and candidates from across Europe and the Middle East.

Part of the ACI global mandate is to promote airport excellence by providing high quality, comprehensive training solutions to our members, and as such ACI continues to enhance competency based training programmes through committed partnerships with members and with international organizations.

ACI Director General Angela Gittens comments, “ACI is pleased to enter into this new partnership with TAV Airports, which has been an active and very supportive member of the organization – both at the World and Regional levels. The group has rapidly expanded its development projects beyond ’s borders and through the center will continue to promote the harmonization and globalization of our performance standards. As they continue to develop their business activities in and around the region, they will have a state of the art facility to ensure that personnel development goes hand in hand with their investments. Located adjacent to the Airport Hotel and conveniently connected to the city centre, the ACI/TAV Training Center will have four conference rooms for 100+ people and seven training rooms of various sizes equipped with high technology material and modern features to meet participants’ expectations.
