MORE THAN 40 AREA CULTURAL INSTITUTIONS TO CELEBRATE 18TH ANNUAL AUSTIN MUSEUM DAY WITH FREE ADMISSION, SPECIAL PROGRAMS

Austin Museum Day Sunday, September 20, 2015

AUSTIN, TX – September 15, 2015 – The Austin Museum Partnership announces its 18th Annual Austin Museum Day, a free city-wide celebration of art, culture, history, music, nature, and science on Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 10:00am to 5:00pm. More than forty museums in the area will offer special programming, including guided tours, hands-on activities, and more, for visitors of all ages.

Organized by the Austin Museum Partnership, a consortium of Austin area museums founded in 1998, Austin Museum Day is a collaboration among Austin’s most-loved cultural institutions that invites the public to experience and rediscover the dynamic, high-quality resources at museums in their community. Last year, more than 28,000 Austinites visited their community museums on Austin Museum Day.
