I. Cases:
771 new Covid-19 cases were reported today. Also, in today’s report, figures as per the ICMR list are updated for districts and municipal corporations other than Mumbai. This has taken the state tally of to 14,541. District-wise details of cases and deaths until today are as follows:

Barring MCGM, Thane, Raigad and Palghar districts, cumulative numbers are increased for other districts in the state as per ICMR lists. As laboratory report scrutiny is an ongoing process, state numbers are subject to change.)
II. Deaths:
There were 35 COVID-related deaths in the state today. Out of these, 18 deaths were recorded in Mumbai, 7 in Pune city, 5 in Akola Municipal Corporation, 1 was recorded in Solapur district, 1 in Aurangabad city, 1 in Thane city, 1 in Nanded city. Additionally, 1 death of an Uttar Pradesh resident was recorded in Mumbai.
III. Other details of deaths:
Out of the 35 deaths today, 22 were men and 13 women. 13 of them aged over 60 years, 19 were from the age group 40 to 59 years and 3 was aged less than 40 years. Information regarding comorbidities in 2 patients who died is not available yet. 23 out of the rest 33 patients (70%) had high-risk co-morbidities such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, etc. Death toll in Covid-19 patients has now gone up to 583 in the state.
IV. Lab testing details: Out of 1,76,323 laboratory samples, 1,62,349 were negative and 14,541 have been tested positive for coronavirus until today.
V. Containment Plan: As per the guidance from Government of India, cluster containment action plan is being implemented in places where clusters of patients have been found in the state. There are 1026 active containment zones in the state currently. Total 10,820 surveillance squads worked today across the state and surveillance of 47.39 lakh population was done.
VI. Hon. Health Minister’s visit to Corona War Room: Hon. Health Minister of Maharashtra visited the Corona War Room at the office of Director Health Services, Pune today. Hon. Minister reviewed the work related to corona control at the state level. He also visited the Corona Call Centre and spoke to a few citizens himself. He also gave important instructions about making the call centre more effective for solving common people’s issues. Dr. Archana Patil (Director, Health Services) and other officers were present at this time. He also expressed satisfaction about Corona War Room’s ongoing work.
VII. Other important notes: 1. 2465 patients have been discharged till date after full recovery. 2. Currently, 1,98,042 people are in home quarantine and 13,006 people are in institutional quarantine.
