FR. JOHN DALY: Fr. Daly will officially take up duty on 1st. January 2016, but will facilitate us in the busy season of Advent and Christmas. In the meantime, Fr. Denis will be acting as interim “minder” of our Pastoral area. We thank you all for your continued support during this time of change.

NOVEMBER MASSES FOR THE DEAD: Mass for those who died during the year will be said on the following dates: NEWTOWNMOUNTKENNEDY: Saturday 7th November at 7. p.m. KILQUADE: Sunday 22nd November at 12 Noon. KILCOOLE: Friday 27th November at 8 p.m.

TAIZÉ PRAYER SERVICE: You are invited to join us for a Taizé Prayer service in the Carmelite Monastery on Wednesday 14th October at 8pm. to celebrate the feast of St. Teresa of Avila. This prayer service brings to a close the celebrations for the 500th Anniversary of the birth of St. Teresa of Avila, 28th March 1515. It takes place on the eve of her feast day, 15th October. The focus of our Scripture readings will be on how our actions are more important than our words. The theme for the night will aim to draw us into a deeper understanding of our relationship with God through focusing on some of the charism’s of Teresa.

BAPTISM SCHEDULE: Kilquade: 3rd Sunday at 12.45. Kilcoole: 4th Saturday: 5.00 p.m. Newtown: 1st Sunday at 12.15. Preparation: 1st Wednesday of each month at 8.00 p.m. in the St. Thérèse room, Carmelite Monastery, Delgany. All Parents & Godparents are invited to prepare for your baby’s Baptism. The next preparation meeting Wednesday 7th October.

SCHOOL ENROLMENTS: Kilcoole Primary School will be accepting applications for their 2016 Junior Infant classes during the months of October and November. Application forms and enrolment policy are available at St. Brigid’s Building, Kilcoole Primary School, Kilcoole, Co. . CARMELITE SISTERS, DELGANY: On Sunday 18th October there is a special mass at 9.30 a.m. to celebrate the canonization of Zelie and Louis Martin, parents of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the first married couple to be canonized together. All welcome, refreshments after mass in the St. Thérèse room.

EDEL QUINN PRAYER GROUP: Next meeting Friday 23rd October, 7 – 8 p.m. at Holy Spirit Oratory Newcastle. Everyone welcome.

KILCOOLE MUSIC FESTIVAL: The Committee of the Kilcoole Music Festival wish to thank all those who have already given a donation towards this year’s Kilcoole Music Festival which is celebrating its 60th year in November. The Luisne Spirituality Centre is based in Kilcoole in a 1782 Georgian Mansion first built for John Darragh, the Lord Mayor of . This book tells the stories of people in our community who have been affected by cancer. All monies raised will go directly to fund the activities of Greystones Cancer Support. Copies of the book will be on sale at the launch for €10.00. Please come along on the evening which promises to be a truly special event. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
