2020-11-04 11:00 CET SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL PRESENTERAR 2021 ÅRS INBOKADE BAND Idag har vi glädjen att presentera 82 av totalt 89 akter inför Sweden Rock Festival 2021. Vi är förstås fullt medvetna om att det finns en risk att den pågående pandemin kommer att påverka även nästa sommars evenemang, samtidigt som det fortfarande är många månader kvar och mycket kan hända under tiden. En stor majoritet av Sweden Rock Festivals besökare från 2020 valde att behålla sina biljetter till 2021, och med dom i åtanke har vi idag glädjen att berätta om så många som 82 klara band inför 2021! På listan syns en hel del som känns igen från 2020 års tilltänkta line-up, men även några spännande nytillskott. BUDGIE page 4 By Chef Jeff THE BAND: Burke Shelley (Bass & Lead Vocals) Steve Williams (Drums) Craig Goldy (Guitars) THE HISTORY: Formed in 1968 by Burke Shelley, Budgie was at the forefront of the hard rock movement in the early 1970’s and the power trio from Cardiff, Wales signed a five-album deal with MCA Records. Their first album featuring the lineup of Burke Shelley, Tony Bourge (Guitars) and Ray Phillips (Drums) was released in 1971 and the band began touring relentlessly both in the United States and Europe. The album releases and worldwide tours continued at a very high pace throughout the 70’s and early 80’s as Budgie released ten studio albums and continued touring in support of each album. -

People’s desire and need to visit these events only seems to increase. Cultural tourism and music tourism has developed into a significant and important part of the experience industry and it employs more and more people within the tourism industry. The purpose of this paper is to investigate which effects this can have on the local community. Focus is held on the touristic and economic impact on the nearby municipality and region. The paper is based on a case study on Sweden Rock Festival, which is one of Swedens largest music festivals with a heavy-metal direction. Sweden Rock Festival is located in the south of Sweden in a small municipality called Sölvesborg. Sölvesborg has about 17 000 inhabitants and each year some 33 200 festival visitors decend on the area to attend the festival. To investigate the touristic and economic impact that Sweden Rock Festival has on Sölvesborg, interviews have been conducted. These interviews have been done by either telephone or by e-mail with people from the municipality, the Sweden Rock Festival organization and people with connections to the local business life. Also, two experienced festival attenders have been interviewed to investigate the visitors use of the area’s supply of tourism attractions besides Sweden Rock Festival. -

We also have recently reviewed your new project, under the name Nordic Union, which is a really cool album. What is the reception so far, from the media, the fans? Are you satisfied with it? I would say, the reception has been fantastic, its phenomenal to be honest. The reviews are great, it's even getting airplay on the radio, it's getting on the charts, even the mainstream medias in Sweden are picking it up and writing about it. I never ever experienced that they write about something like this. Yes, I just saw that you posted that you are on nu. 4 or nu. 5 on the Swedish hard rock charts today, which is really good. You never had any prior success on the charts with your other bands or projects? Yes, with Eclipse and with W.E.T. we actually went to nu.1, a couple of years ago. If it wasn't, well I mean, that almost the same day Dream Theater released their album, just one week earlier Megadeth and Avantasia the same day, there are so many good bands and big names. Page 4 of 299 Abstract With the re-emergence of social media in the 2000s and the increased worldwide usage of mobile devices, the impact of social media still cannot be ignored. From corporate businesses to popular culture, social media are now used in many sectors of society. Not least among these is the classical music industry. Artists and organisations have keenly capitalised on social media in the face of increasing budgetary reductions in the arts and long-held elitist perceptions of classical music. In addition, the classical music business has used social media to profit from economic growth, audiences, and public profiles, and to market accessibility, relevance, and value to a wider audience, notably, younger demographics and non-attenders. As a result, the classical music scene tries to engender technological determinism and digital optimism, ideologies reflecting discourses around Web 2.0/social media. Simultaneously, a so-called ‘digital divide’ is at risk. Various factors, for example, socioeconomic strata, greatly influence how classical music is marketed and branded on social media networks, however, they are barriers to access and enjoyment of the art, online and offline. -
