Who? Jackie Leon, CTJ member for more than 40 years. What? Jackie recently donated to the High Holiday campaign. Why? Jackie says she “gives what I can when I can,” owing to her love for this community. “I get so much from CTJ. I get a lot of spirituality. I enjoy the services on Zoom very, very much, and the classes,” Jackie says. “It’s a really important part of my life.”

Who? Marilyn and Stu Goldberg, CTJ members living in south Orange County, who take advantage of our virtual offerings What? Marilyn and Stu recently donated in gratitude for CTJ’s welcoming and gracious community Why? , or charity, has always been important to the Goldbergs. As a child, Marilyn remembers plunking spare change and into the blue-and-white tzedakah boxes at her grandmother’s home. “I was raised in a Jewish household, and tzedakah is one of the first things I learned,” she says. “It was always a part of our lives, and no matter what financial position we were in, we always made sure to give to tzedakah.” For Stu, their donation to CTJ was a way to support the community and to express thanks for our strong virtual offerings. “This year, CTJ was there for us, and we wanted to be there for them,” he says.
