ITINERARY DAY 1: GUATEMALA CITY AIRPORT‐ANTIGUA GUATEMALA Upon arrival and transfer to Antigua Guatemala. Accommodations at selected hotel.

DAY 2: ANTIGUA GUATEMALA HALF DAY Breakfast. Departure from your hotel to visit Antigua Guatemala. There you will visit the Colonial Monuments of Antigua Guatemala, declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity and considered one of the most beautiful colonial cities of America, during the colonial period was the capital of the Kingdom of Guatemala that included the southern provinces of Mexico, Guatemala, , , and ; political, cultural, religious, economic center of the Central American area, the city stopped its march after the earthquake in 1773, the city was uninhabited and then moved to the Nueva Guatemala de la Asunción (official name of Guatemala City). Continue visiting the Jade factory and the handicraft market. At the end of the tour, return to the hotel for accommodations.

DAY 3: ANTIGUA GUATEMALA‐CHICHICASTENANGO‐ATITLÁN LAKE Breakfast. Transfer from your hotel to the Guatemalan Highlands along the Panamerican Highway to Chichicastenango, a quiche Indian town surrounded by hills and mountains that jealously keep the inhabitants’ traditions, as they melt their prehispanic and catholic rituals at the 400 years old of Santo Tomas, built on the remains of a Mayan Temple. Here, market days, Thursdays and Sundays, acquire great meaning and smoky incense impregnates the atmosphere with mysticism and religiosity. People barter their product and the market explodes with color, tradition, and folklore. At indicated time, transfer to , a village located on the shores of Lake Atitlan. Considered as one of the most beautiful lakes around the world, surrounded by three volcanoes Atitlan, Tolimán, and San Pedro that are protecting the lake. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to the Hotel for accommodations.

DAY 4: BOAT RIDE SAN JUAN LA LAGUNA LAKE ATITLÁN LAKE –GUATEMALA CITY Breakfast. At indicated time, you will enjoy a morning boat trip to San Juan La Laguna, this village is of Cackchiquel origin and its inhabitants are mainly fishermen and farmers, as well as textile manufacturers. At indicated time, transfer from Panajachel to Guatemala City.

DAY 5: GUATEMALA CITY‐FLORES‐TIKAL‐FLORES Box breakfast will be delivered by the hotel. At 04:00 am, you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Mundo Maya International Airport in Petén. At arrival, visit to the Archaeological Site of Tikal “Place of Voices”, surrounded by the tropical forest that has kept Tikal in its millennial dream. Visit the main Plaza and the Temple of the Great Jaguar, central acropolis, Mundo Perdido and temple IV from where you can observe the majesty of the city and the emerald green jungle. After lunch (included – no drinks), transfer to the selected hotel for accommodations.

DAY 6: FLORES/COROZAL/YAXCHILAN/PALENQUE Box breakfast will be delivered by the hotel. At 05:00 am, you will be transferred to Bethel, boat trip to Corozal, reception at Border Corozal to take a boat along the Usumacinta River where you can see spider monkeys, crocodiles and tropical birds, looking on one side at the Petén Jungle and on the other side the Lacandon jungle Arrival in the archeological zone of YAXCHILAN, important Mayan city sunk in the jungle, the main structure in this site in temple 33. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to the Hotel for accommodations.

DAY 7: PALENQUE/CAMPECHE Breakfast. At indicated time visit the archeological zone of Palenque, one of the most remarkable Mayan cities because of its beautiful sculptural art and important architecture in the middle of the green jungle. Then we meet a beautiful panorama of

the Gulf of Mexico; go on to the beautiful walled city of Campeche. We will visit the fort, built in the XVII century to protect the city from the pirates; you can watch sites, some of them are now museums. In the fort you can see corridors, many color colonial houses and temples; the main attraction is the main plaza with its beautiful kiosk and the cathedral facing it. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to the Hotel for accommodations.

DAY 8: CAMPECHE/UXMAL/MERIDA Breakfast. At indicated time, transfer to visit Uxmal, archeological zone with a great architecture: the Fortuneteller Pyramid, the Quadrangle of the Nuns, the Governor Palace, and the Ball Court. Lunch and then to Merida, the White City where we have a tour through Paseo de Montejo, Monument to the Country, Main Plaza with its cathedral and Government Palace. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to the Hotel for accommodations.

DAY 9: MERIDA‐CHICHEN ITZA‐CANCÚN Breakfast. Departure to Chichen Itza, the most named Mayan city, archaeological site where you can know the advanced astronomic and architectonic knowledge. It has the step pyramid named the Castle or Temple of Kukulcan, the Skull Platform, the Temple of Jaguars, the Observatory, the 1000 Columns Plaza, the Sacred Cenote. Time for lunch and transfer to the hotel in Cancun or Mayan Riviera for accommodations.

DAY 10: CANCÚN Breakfast. Day at leisure. Accommodations at selected hotel.

DAY 11: CANCÚN‐AIRPORT Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for the flight that will take you home.
