Friends of Ixworth Library proudly present a summer season of exciting film

Thursday 31st May: 2 (PG) Said to be even better than the original, full of fun and warmth. Now happily settled with the Brown family, Paddington picks up a series of odd jobs in order to buy a present for Great Aunt Lucy's 100th Birthday, only for the gift to be stolen. Starring , and with as the voice of Paddington. A comic triumph, full of heart and hope.

Thursday 28th June: Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri (15) 2018 Oscar Winner for best picture and best actress. This is a powerful drama of a mother who in order to stop herself drowning in grief following her daughter's brutal murder decides to challenge the local small town police chief when the case remains unsolved. Written and directed by Martin McDonagh its a tough tense tragi-comic tale with a the formidable and fearless Frances McDormand as the woman at the centre of the drama.

Thursday 26th July: CLASSIC FILM NIGHT - Breakfast At Tiffanys Continuing our love affair with Classic Film this dazzling American romantic comedy from 1961 stars the delightful Audrey Hepburn as a woman in search of a wealthy husband. Directed by Blake Edwards and based on Truman Capote's novella of the same name it's a feast for the eye…

Thursday 30th August: Ladybird (15) A high school student from the wrong side of the tracks longs for adventure, sophistication and opportunity. This is a refreshing first for actress turned writer/director Greta Gerwig who takes the well worn coming of age format and fashions a fresh, funny and warm comedy drama.
