Winner of ’Polstjärnepriset’ in Gothenburg in 2017 and The Danish Strings Competition 2018, Alva Holm is a violinist with a strong and distinctive sound and a remarkable mature and honest musicality that draws the listener’s attention from the first stroke of her bow. Born in 2000, she is already on the watch list of critics, orchestras and music festivals throughout the Nordic region and beyond. Alva made her concerto debut with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra at the age of 16, winning ’Polstjärnepriset’ with her performance of Carl Nielsen’s testing Violin Concerto. She has twice been victorious at the Jacob Gade Violin Competition and won both First Prize and the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra’s special prize at the Danish Strings Competition. Following her competition victories, Alva was approached by a raft of orchestras, promoters and festivals and has appeared regularly as a concerto soloist and chamber musician since; in the latter capacity, she continues to perform in a duo with her brother, pianist Elias Holm. Alva has been a soloist with orchestras throughout Scandinavia including the Aarhus Symphony and Bergen Philharmonic Orchestras. In autumn 2020 she’s invited back with Aarhus Symphony Orchestra to perform Mendelssohn Violin Concerto with conductor Marc Soustrot. Alva began her musical education at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen where she studied with the Ukrainian violinist Alexandre Zapolski, who gave her a particular appreciation of the Slavic violin tradition with its focus on quality of tone and colour combined with its deep communicative and expressive impulse. She continued her studies with Peter Herresthal at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. She has participated in master-classes with violinists including Henning Kraggerud, Nicola Benedetti, Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider, Pinchas Zukerman and Vilde Frang. Alva has been the recipient of prestigious scholarships from the Augustinus Foundation, Sonning Foundation, Jacob Gades Legacy and the Carl and Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen Legacy. She plays on a Gagliano instrument from 1760, on loan from the Augustinus Foundation. In 2020 she joined Nordic Artists Management as a Young Artist. WWW.ALVAHOLM.COM .

Vilde FRANG violino Notata giovanissima per la sua espressività e completo dominio tecnico, Vilde Frang è considerata la più interessante violinista della sua generazione da quando dodicenne è stata invitata da Mariss Jansons a suonare con la Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. Dopo il suo debutto con la London Philharmonic Orchestra è stata immediatamente rinvitata dall’orchestra per un concerto con Vladimir Jurowski alla Royal Festival Hall nel 2009, seguito da un recital a Wigmore Hall. Nel 2012 le è stato assegnato il prestigioso Credit Suisse Young Artists Award e nel mese di settembre è stata invitata al Festival di Lucerna con i Wiener Philharmoniker diretti da Bernard Haitink. Tra le maggiori orchestre internazionali con cui collabora spiccano la Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, la Mahler Chamber Orchestra, la Philharmonia Orchestra, l’Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, le orchestre di Houston e Atlanta. Vilde Frang è invitata come solista e in ensemble da camera ai Festival di Schleswig- Holstein, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Rheingau, Gstaad, Verbier e Lucerna. VILDE FRANG, VIOLIN Vilde is the recipient of the 2012 Credit Suisse Young Artists Award and will perform with the Vienna Philharmonic and Bernard Haitink at the Lucerne Summer Music Festival in September 2012. Noted particularly for her superb musical expression, as well as her well- developed virtuosity and musicality, Vilde Frang has established herself as one of the leading young violinists of her generation since she was engaged by Mariss Jansons at the age of twelve to debut with Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. Highlights among her recent and forthcoming engagements include performances with Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Kremerata Baltica, Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, BBC Symphony, Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, HR- Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt, Tonhalle-Orchester Zurich, Russian National Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic, the NHK Symphony in Tokyo and Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, with conductors including Ivan Fischer, Paavo Järvi, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Mariss Jansons, David Zinman, Vassily Sinaisky, Esa-Pekka Salonen and Gianandrea Noseda. SIDE 09 TURNEER OG GJestesPILL SIDE 11 KAmmerkonserter Store gratiskonserter på Rådhusplassen og Myraløkka I august ble konserten på Rådhusplassen arrangert for fjerde gang, nå med et besøk på ca. 25 000. I juni arrangerte vi SIDE 12 RADIO, FJERNSYN OG streAMING for første gang friluftskonsert på Myraløkka i Bydel Sagene med et besøk på ca. 5 000. På Rådhusplassen var det denne gang Eivind Aadland som dirigerte Beethovens 9. symfoni, og det sammensatte og populære programmet på Myraløkka SIDE 13 UTGIVELSER 2012 ble presentert av trompetist Tine Thing Helseth og dirigent Rolf Gupta, til stor jubel. SIDE 14 DIRIGENTER, SOLister OG ANDRE MEDVIRKENDE Sommerfestival Sagene sommerkonsert på Myraløkka inngikk i den festivalhelgen som også omfattet konserter i Freiasalen og på Park- SIDE 15 FREMFØrte VERK teatret. I 2013 blir festivalen utvidet med konserter også på Månefisken (Sagene), Riksscenen (Schous kulturbryggeri) Grünerløkka og Caféteatret (Grønland). SIDE 16 KORET Furuset og Alna bydel SIDE 17 PUBLikum I samarbeid med bydelen har forestillingen Patty og ulven (se under) vært satt opp på Rommen scene. Det er i 2012 også inngått avtale med bydelen om orkesterets medvirkning på Furusetdagene fra 2014. SIDE 18 H.M. DRONNING SONJA Star Wars-konserter SIDE 19 STØTTESPILLERE OG SAMARBEIDSPARTNERE John Williams’ musikk til Star Wars er svært populær hos alle aldersklasser, og de to konsertene i januar var helt full- satte.
