It is to the Gay Games what Lillehammer was, and what will be, to the Olympics. Unity '94 is basically responsible for produc- ing the event. DV: Why are the Gay Games important? SK: I think first of all that they are about Unity '94 making a difference. There are a lot of people who have maybe played sports all their lives, but have never had the opportunity to partici- pate in an environment where they could really, truly, completely be themselves.
