Vice Mayor Norman Kreckman presented the Gold Key of the City to Mahoney on his arrival at the airport. Mahoney was beseiged by hundreds of youngsters begging for autographs at the airport. From there a police escort sped the caravan to the stage of the RKO Palace Theatre where 3000 youngsters eagerly awaited the arrival of their hero. His plane was delayed an hour. Mean time, the capacity audience that awaited his arrival were entranced by a preimere of his newest movie, "Laramie Moun tain." They cheered for him on the screen and booed the villians. Their enthusiasm rang backstage of the Palace. This week's cover girl, Pat Sumberg, who is already well known to local viewers for her Wednesday morning "Take It Easy" stint with Mort Nusbaum, has an extensive background of show business.
