MINNESOTA WILD AGREES TO TERMS WITH FORWARDS LANDON FERRARO AND CAL O’REILLY ON TWO-YEAR CONTRACTS

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the (NHL) club has agreed to terms with free-agent forwards Landon Ferraro and Cal O’Reilly on two-year, two-way contracts ($700,000/$375,000 in 2017-18 and 2018-19).

Ferraro, 25 (8/8/91), collected 15 points (7-8=15) and 12 minutes (PIM) in 22 games with the in the (AHL) in 2016-17. During the 2015-16 season, the 6-foot, 180-pound native of Trail, , skated in 10 games with the before being claimed off waivers by the on Nov. 22, 2015. In 58 games with the Bruins, he tallied 10 points (5-5=10) and 20 PIM. Ferraro owns 11 points (6-5=11) and 29 PIM in 75 career NHL contests with the Red Wings and Bruins. He also skated in seven Stanley Cup playoff matches with Detroit in 2014-15. Ferraro has tallied 155 points (82-73=155) and 216 PIM in 292 career AHL contests with the and the Wolves and owns 19 points (6-13=19) in 33 playoff matches. He played for Canada at the 2009 World Under-18 Championship and was originally selected by Detroit in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Ferraro’s father, Ray, collected 898 points (408- 490=898) in 1,258 career NHL games during 18 seasons with Hartford, the , the , Los Angeles, and St. Louis (1984-2002).

O’Reilly, 30 (9/30/86), recorded one assist in 11 games with the and 50 points (9-41=50) in 62 games with the Rochester Americans and the Toronto Marlies in the American Hockey League (AHL) last season. The 6-foot, 193-pound native of Toronto, , added seven points (1-6=7) in 11 Calder Cup playoff games with the Marlies. He collected seven points (3-4=7) in 20 NHL contests with the Sabres and 29 points (6-23=29) in 47 AHL games with Rochester during the 2015-16 season. O’Reilly owns 49 points (16-33=49) in 144 career NHL contests during parts of six seasons with Nashville, Arizona, Pittsburgh and Buffalo (2008-12, 2015-17). He has collected 450 points (89-361=450) in 525 career AHL games with Milwaukee, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Portland, Utica, Rochester and Toronto (2005-10, 2011-12, 2013-17). O’Reilly owns 50 points (12-38=50) in 77 career Calder Cup playoff matches and has made four AHL All- Star Game appearances (2016, 2015, 2010 and 2009). O’Reilly was originally selected by Nashville in the fifth round (150th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
