Overview

Indoor cricket is a new variant of cricket which shares many basic concepts with cricket itself. This indoor version of cricket is fast, quick and involves great activeness and participation of each team player. This is a faster version of the game where each side is reduced to 8 players and each innings lasts 10 overs. The intensity of the game generates an exciting environment with no threat of rain delays or any other outdoor interference. The game is played within a rectangular court enclosed on all sides and above by tensioned netting. Indoor Cricket forms part of a multi-sport experience where players of all abilities can enjoy competitive and social team sport. Games can be played with mixed gender and mixed age teams and with year-round play is great for off-season practice, young player development, social leagues and corporate events.

Teleholdings Pvt. Ltd. is a part of Lucky Group one of the leading group of companies of Nepal. Teleholdings is currently the owner of Nepal’s biggest EPL team Kathmandu Kings XI.

Kathmandu Kings XI (KKXI) has been decorated by one of the Sri Lanka’s great player Farveez Maharoof and our own Nepal International ace fast bowler Sompal Kami. This year KKXI has announced the world cup record holder Kevin O’brien as one of their international player.

KKXI Corporate Cup Indoor Cricket is starting new initiative to develop and promote indoor cricketing culture in our country. This will encourage and facilitate corporate professionals to enjoy a fun and wonderful game of cricket. All the groups can play cricket despite of all the unfavorable condition like rain, hot and sunny days and moreover in a safe environment in an Indoor Cricket facility.

Indoor cricket facilities:

 International standard cricket pitch  High power floodlight enables the office goers to enjoy the game even at prime time.  All cricket kits are provided like Bat, Ball, Gloves (batsman and wicket keeper), Helmet and stump  Sufficient parking space, Healthy environment

WHY CORPORATE CUP

Cricket on itself can be a good medium for promoting corporate sector. By showing their presence on cricket, corporate can fulfill its social norms and responsibility. Cricket can be beneficial for corporate in various ways. Some are mentioned below:  To explore and expand the extracurricular horizons of corporate.  Cricket being a team game can build unique team bonding experience among employees and can learn lot from cricket such as team work, team management, man management, leadership quality, crisis management, pressure handling etc.  Getting refreshment for the employees as we all know corporate employees can go through various pressure situations. This can help them to focus even more on their work.  Organizations can build a positive corporate image by promoting a healthy work-life balanced lifestyle.  Event as such can increase your corporate/brand identity.  Good media attention.  Good Peer to peer branding  Good platform for your company for cooperative advertising opportunities.

Tournament Details

KKXI Corporate cup games shall be played at Royal KCTC indoor. 16 teams from various corporate sectors from all over Kathmandu will play the tournament. Twenty Four teams will be divided 4 groups containing 4 teams in each group. The tournament is played on league cum knock-out basis, where top teams from each groups will make it to the semi-finals. Each inning will be of 10 overs. Each game duration will be tentatively about one and half hours, with each innings lasting around 35 minutes with the inning break of 6 minute.

23 August - Reserve Day First match: 8: 30 AM Last match: 5:30 PM

24 August - Semi and Finals Evening match: 2:30 PM (Grand Final)

**Note: reporting time half an hour before the match.

Rules and Regulations

1. Staff (player) should at list 6 months’ working with that organization. 2. Copy of Identification Card and name list of player (Please mention joining date as well) in organization letterhead with authorized signature, should be submit before tie sheet draw. 3. In the case of protest, organization committee has fully authority for verify and ask for the supporting documents. 4. The tournament will be played on a League cum knockout basis. 5. Organizer will provide ball, bat, pad, gloves and helmet. Teams are not allowed to use any cricket equipment which is not provided by organizers. 6. Team must give all 10 players names on the day of submission of form. 7. All teams must report on the ground half an hour prior to the scheduled game. 8. In case of change in schedule, the concerned team shall be noticed prior to the scheduled game. 9. In the absence of either team at the scheduled time, the opponent will be announced winner on “walkover basis”. 10. Tournament playing condition will be handed to every team Captain /Manager on the day of Tie sheet draws.
