LYNWOOD LEADERS SUPPORT CONGRESSWOMAN BARRAGÁN

LYNWOOD, CA—Today, Lynwood Mayor José Luis Solache and Councilmember Aide Castro endorsed the re-election campaign of Congresswoman Nanette Diaz Barragán.

“I strongly support Congresswoman Barragán’s re-election,” said, Mayor José Luis Solache. “She has been the fighter we need in Congress—fighting to protect Dreamers, lift up our neighborhoods, and create jobs. And Nanette isn’t afraid to stand up to . I am proud to support her campaign.”

About Congresswoman Nanette Diaz Barragán

The youngest of eleven children raised by immigrants from Mexico, Congresswoman Nanette Diaz Barragán lives in San Pedro and represents California's 44th Congressional District. Nanette Diaz Barragán was elected to Congress in 2016, a year in which she was the only new Democratic Latina elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. Congresswoman Barragán was elected by her peers to serve as the Co-President of the freshman Democrats, and serves on the House Homeland Security Committee and Natural Resources Committee.

The 44th Congressional District includes the communities of Carson, Compton, Lynwood, North Long Beach, Rancho Dominguez, San Pedro, South Gate, Walnut Park, Watts, Willowbrook and Wilmington.
