  • SCHOOL NEWSLETTER ALL SAINTS CATHOLIC SCHOOL March 16, 2016 Principal Postings
SCHOOL NEWSLETTER ALL SAINTS CATHOLIC SCHOOL March 16, 2016 Principal Postings Today’s verse before the Gospel is “ Blessed are they who have kept the word with a generous heart and yield a harvest through perseverance.” As I read the verse, my mind quickly went to the recent experience of one of our teacher’s adoption of her daughter, Vivian Grace. Heather and Scott Matczak indeed kept the word with a gener- ous heart and persevered through the difficult and at times painful process of adopting a child. God’s grace was present to them along the way and after much pain and sadness over near adoptions not coming to fruition, baby Vivian was placed into their loving arms on March 9th . It is times such as this that I find myself viewing life’s joys as little resurrections in anticipation of the Resurrection of our Lord we celebrate at Easter. In fact, on March 9th as the Matczak’s were heading to the hospital to meet their baby, Kathy Kovacs, Administrative Assistant, at South campus was taken from our office to the hospital as the result of a heart attack. I texted Heather Matczak asking for a picture of the baby ASAP as we needed a “resurrection story” as we sat and waited for news of Kathy. We were blessed with good news from both of them! Yes, Kathy had indeed had a heart attack but was going to be okay and the little girl in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit became Vivian Grace Matczak. God is good! These two events were followed by a JOY filled auction that yielded much conversation, laughter and generous giving.
