On Saturday, June 2nd, the casino welcomes The Dan Band, best known for their performances in such comedic movies as The Hangover, Old School, and Starsky & Hutch. Throughout the entire summer, Empire City is traveling back in time with the classic sounds of Bob Marley, Elvis, The Beatles, Whitney Houston and other musical legends as a part of their Tribute Band Thursdays series, culminating with the return of the Landsharks, who will be performing the best of Jimmy Buffett and The Beach Boys trackside on Saturday, August 12th. What started as a drunken rendition of Helen Reddy’s “I Am Woman” at a karaoke bar led to the creation of The Dan Band, headed by comedian & foul-mouthed lead singer Dan Finnerty. The cult phenomenon group has performed to sold-out crowds across the country and has appeared on numerous television shows including The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ellen, and The Late Late Show. The Dan Band brings their non-traditional versions of classic pop songs to Empire City Casino on Saturday, June 2nd.
