SIBLINGS IN THE PROS Two of the players on this year’s roster have a brother playing in the NBA. Travis Hansen, Atlanta Hawks is older brother to twins Heather and Hollie Hansen. Travis is in his rookie season, and was a two-year starter at BYU. At the start of the season Britton Johnsen was on the Orlando Magic’s roster but has since been cut from the team. He is now playing on the NBDL (National Basketball Development League) . Johnsen was a four-year starter at the University of Utah. Freshman Melinda Johnsen is his younger sister. DOUBLES ABOUND On this year’s team there is one set of twins on the BYU roster in sisters Heather and Hollie Hansen. Senior Angie Gatten is also a twin to sister Angie Lewis who finished her eligibility last season with the Cougar pro g r a m .

FRESHMAN - (2002-2003): At the end of her first year playing college basketball she played in all 31 games and got the starting nod in three of those (at no. 21 George Washington, at NC State and against the University of Alabama at the Triple Crown from Albuquerque, New Mexico)…picked up a team high and a personal best 14 points against UNLV on 2/20/03 and had a season and career high 11 rebounds vs. New Mexico on 2/6/03…two times she had team high seven rebounds, the first vs. UNM on 3/8/03 the final regular sea- son conference game and at the team’s last game of the year at Colorado in the first round of the NCAA tournament… was also perfect from the free throw line against SDSU making all five attempts…overall, she finished in fifth place in points on the team with a total of 133 for an 4.3 average…placed fourth in three categories, field goals made with 55 and a 1.8 average, free throw made category with eight, and total with 96…was third on the team in 3-pt field goals made with 15…finished fifth on the team in three other categories, offensive rebounds with 22, defensive rebounds with 74 and blocks with seven.
