BRECON STREET PASTORS

Brecon Street Pastors have now been patrolling for 2½ years and we are soon to start training for new members. We are therefore hoping to recruit some more potential trainees to join those who have already expressed an interest.

Feedback tells us that Street Pastors are valued and appreciated for what they do and contribute to an improved atmosphere at street level when they patrol.

A Street Pastor must be at least 18 years of age and have been a committed attender at a local Church or Chapel for at least the last year.

We provide free training and uniforms. After successfully completing the training and assessment, Street Pastors are commissioned and will be qualified to patrol.

Their normal hours of duty are between 09:30 pm and up to 4:30 am Saturday into Sunday; however, there is a role as a reservist for those who could not manage these hours and for occasional ‘day-time’ events such as Jazz weekend and other events throughout the year.

If anyone wants to get to know what’s involved they can join a patrol as an observer.

Please call Hugh (Coordinator) on 0800 6785142 for further
