Arriving in Clermont-Ferrand By airplane: Clermont-Ferrand Airport is located in Aulnat city, next to Clermont-Ferrand. For city centre, you can take: - a taxi in front of the airport (fare about 20 EUR), with the address of your hotel, - the city bus Nr. 20: o take bus Nr. 20 at the bus stop “AULNAT SAINTEXUPERY” bound for “GERZAT CHAMPFLEURI” and get off at “Musée d’Art Roger Quillot” o then you can take the tramway A bound for LA PARDIEU GARE for going in the direction of city centre and also the campus (campus tram stop is “CEZEAUX PELLEZ”). o fare is one ticket for both bus and tramway; it can be bought at the newspaper shop of the airport; one single ticket is 1,40 EUR and 10 tickets pack costs 12,60 EUR and can be used later to go from residence to campus. I suggest you to take taxi, it is much easier! You can also share the price with other if you want. You can find in following pages the map of bus line, the schedule for the bus Nr. 20 on Sunday (column on the right ) and the map of tram line A. Bus stop map at Aulnat airport: By train: Clermont-Ferrand station is located close to the city centre. For city centre, you can: - take the bus Nr.B in front of the station (bus stop “GARE SNCF”) bound for “ROYAT PLACE ALLARD” and get off at bus stop “JAUDE” - then you can take the tram A to go to the campus (bound for LA PARDIEU GARE and get off at “CEZEAUX PELLEZ”) - You can find in following pages the map of bus line B and the map of tram line A. From your hotel to the campus and conference site: From your hotel: - depending of the location of your hotel, you first have to go to a tram station - take the tram bound for “LA PARDIEU GARE” and get off at “CEZEAUX PELLEZ”, - you just arrived in front of the school Polytech. The fare for one way is of 1,40 EUR. You can also buy the tickets by packs of 10 tickets for 12,60 EUR. There are vending machine at each tram stop (only coins and card). You can buy ticket packs in many newspaper shops. For conference site, you just have to enter the school main hall, cross the main entrance hall and go out the building on the other side in front of you. Then, you can go straight until you reach the building in front of you: this is conference venue. The main room is called “Amphi 2”.
