Most information is taken directly from surveys completed by each facility or from phone or personal contact with the facility. Survey information is collected on an annual basis. Facility name, address, location, product or service, employment, ownership, and other information may change and often does change between annual survey attempts. While all attempts are made to capture ongoing changes from data provided by facilities, local economic development contacts, media announcements, and Cabinet programs, no guarantee can be made that changes will be discovered. Also included on these reports, but not counted in the total number of facilities or full-time employment, are new location projects recently announced in Kentucky. The projects are identified by (announced) next to their projected full-time employment. If information indicates foreign ownership, either direct or indirect, the facility is included on the Foreign Ownership reports; a specific percentage of foreign ownership is not required. Multiple owners of a facility will be included on the report where applicable. The use of an asterisk (*) preceding an owner's name indicates direct ownership.     06-ORD 70H-002AA 7 Japanese Manufacturing Affiliates in Europe and Turkey - 2005 Survey - September 2006 Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Preface The survey on “Japanese manufacturing affiliates in Europe and Turkey” has been conducted 22 times since the first survey in 1983*. The latest survey, carried out from January 2006 to February 2006 targeting 16 countries in Western Europe, 8 countries in Central and Eastern Europe, and Turkey, focused on business trends and future prospects in each country, procurement of materials, production, sales, and management problems, effects of EU environmental regulations, etc. The survey revealed that as of the end of 2005 there were a total of 1,008 Japanese manufacturing affiliates operating in the surveyed region --- 818 in Western Europe, 174 in Central and Eastern Europe, and 16 in Turkey. Of this total, 291 affiliates --- 284 in Western Europe, 6 in Central and Eastern Europe, and 1 in Turkey --- also operate R & D or design centers. Also, the number of Japanese affiliates who operate only R & D or design centers in the surveyed region (no manufacturing operations) totaled 129 affiliates --- 125 in Western Europe and 4 in Central and Eastern Europe. In this survey we put emphasis on the effects of EU environmental regulations on Japanese manufacturing affiliates. We would like to express our great appreciation to the affiliates concerned for their kind cooperation, which have enabled us over the years to constantly improve the survey and report on the results. We hope that the affiliates and those who are interested in business development in Europe and/or Turkey will find this report useful.

    TOYOTA TSUSHO CORPORATION Integrated Report 2016 Fiscal year ended March 31, 2016 INTEGRATED REPORT 2016 REPORT INTEGRATED Next Steps for New Growth Competitive Edge in Business For the next 10 years, the Toyota Tsusho Group will evoke our ideal as “Be the Right ONE” Stakeholder Dialogue Editorial Policy Until now, Toyota Tsusho has published an Annual Report, which mainly covers report- ing focused on financial information, management strategies, performance and business activities, and a CSR Report, which mainly covers reporting focused on society and the environment. These two reports were published to deepen the understanding of Toyota Tsusho’s activities among all stakeholders. However, considering that both reports are closely related to one another and our goal of fostering an even stronger understanding of Toyota Tsusho among our stakeholders, we have started producing an Integrated Report from the fiscal year ended March 2015. In the preparation of this report, we have referred to the International Integrated Reporting Framework (International <IR> Framework) advo- cated by the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC), the Sustainability Reporting Guidelines (version 4.0) of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the Environmental Reporting Guidelines (2012 version) of the Ministry of the Environment in Japan and the ISO 26000 Guidance on Social Responsibility. In addition to reporting on management strategies, our performance, and business activities, the Integrated Report covers subjects such as Toyota Tsusho’s Approach to CSR, which guides our efforts to resolve social issues and contribute locally through our business activities. In 187 1, after the code abolition of the han system, Owari, with the exception of Districts 7 the Chita Peninsula, was established as Nagoya Prefecture, Municipalities 54 while Mikawa combined with the Chita Peninsula and Flower Kakitsubata formed Nukata Prefecture. Nagoya Prefecture was renamed (Iris laevigata) to Aichi Prefecture in April 187 2, and was united with Tree Hananoki Nukata Prefecture on November 27 of the same year.
