Diablo Range District - Multiple Units Posted Order- Fire Danger -Restrictions

WHEREAS, due to the extraordinary critical fire danger present in California in fall 2021 , multiple fires actively burning in the State, and

WHEREAS, due to the lack of CALFIRE and local fire agency resources available to fight fires;

The listed Park Units of the Diablo Range District below will restrict fires and open flames as follows:

1. The restrictions will apply to all lands of Benicia State Recreation Area, State Recreation Area, Carnegie State Vehicular Recreation Area, Fremont Peak State Park, Henry W. Coe State Park, Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area, and Mount Diablo State Park.

2. All open flames and fires, including wood or charcoal will be prohibited in park units listed in #1 until the end of the 2021 fire season as determined by the local CALFIRE unit (SCU) or the Diablo Range District Public Safety Superintendent.

3. Self-contained propane or gas powered cook stoves will be permitted in designated campgrounds or picnic areas.

4. Exceptions to this order may only be granted in writing by the Diablo Range District Superintendent, 15751 Telsa Road , Livermore California 94550.

5. Nothing herein shall affect any existing private contract or property rights.

6. Nothing herein shall be construed in derogation of other provisions of law.
