National Eucharistic Congress in Knock September 26th – 27th : we will be celebrating a National Eucharistic Congress in Knock. Its theme ‘Christ our Hope’ invites us to think about hope in our own lives. It is intended to be an opportunity to reflect on the fruits of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress, which was held in Dublin in 2012, and a spiritual preparation for the next International Congress, scheduled to take place in Cebu, Philippines, in January 2016.

The annual Diocesan Pastoral Council Celebration of Marriage Anniversaries will be held in Tuam Cathedral at 3pm on Sunday 11th October with Mass at that time. Canon James Ronayne, PP, Clifden will be guest preacher and Archbishop Michael will be main Celebrant at Mass. Refreshments in St. Jarlath's College afterwards. It is always a lovely occasion and the feedback from couples has been hugely positive.

Cash for Clobber Scheme CONTINUES : The Lackagh Museum Committee wishes to thank those who have given their support to the Cash for Clobber scheme during the last twelve months, and asks you to continue with that support. The money made from this scheme is a vital source of income to the Committee, as it helps pay part of the interest due on the Parish Centre debt. The amount raised during the last year was €1,780.
