13% 41% Screening operation 18,856 46% • Kisoro has twenty-one (21) Points of Entry (PoEs) referenced and of these, nine (9) have active screening operations in place. Two (2) of them are official PoEs (Cyanika and Bunagana).

Weekdays peak of flow On market days, the average daily flow peaks were recorded in Bunagana on Tuesday (12,970 persons) and Friday (4,924 persons), Busanza (7,713 persons) on Saturday, and Busigi on Saturday (3,297 persons).

Market places are generally in the proximity of a PoE, (within 1 km).

Screening operation

28% 38% • Of the twenty (20) PoEs referenced, ten (10) have active screening operations in place. Two (2) of 1,536 them are official PoEs (Ishasha2 and Kyeshero/Butogota).

The type of flows is influenced by the land configuration (mountainous, forest…) and the type of PoE (formal or informal). The type of access road (main road or rural road) influences the

type of flow as well as the reason for travelling. The presence of markets and agricultural activities is a pull factor and may attract more adult women than men.

During the reporting period, the average daily flow peaks were recorded on market days in Kashenyi on Monday (1,505 persons), and in Muyanga 1 (2,094 persons), Muyanga 2 (2,021 persons) and Nyakirehe (789 persons) on Thursday.

OVERVIEW

Screening operation • Of the twenty (20) PoEs and one (1) PoC (Rwentuhe) referenced (three (3) are still not mapped), eighteen (18) have screening operations in place. One (1) of them is an official PoE (Transami Main- Kanara).

• A total of 30,481 screenings have been completed at eighteen (18) PoEs on the shore of Lake Albert and at the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and one (1) PoC in Rwentuhe. • Mulango, Katanga, Rwangara, and Kigungu registered 50% of the total flow in Ntoroko. • Mulango registered the highest number of screenings (5,146).

Demographic • Ratio of adult males and adult females was 46:32 • About 6,588 children under 5 years old were registered during this period (22%) • Rwangara registered the highest ratio of adult males to adult females (64:23)

OVERVIEW

Screening operation • Kasese has twenty-nine (29) PoEs referenced and of these, twenty (22) PoEs have screening operations in place. main is the only official PoE and attracts the highest flow (197,863 screenings). Given the high numbers at Mpondwe main, there is no data disaggregation by sex or age.

• A total of 408,706 screenings have been completed at twenty-two (22) PoEs bordering to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). • Mpondwe main and Mpondwe market porous account for 55% of the total flow. Demographic

• Ratio of adult males and adult females was 36:50 • 28,466 children under 5 years old were registered during this period (14%) • Mpondwe market porous registered the highest ratio of adult females to adult males (68:21). This is because of the nature of business in the market dominated by women.

Screening operation • Bundibugyo has sixteen (16) Points of Entry (PoEs) which are actively screening. Only one PoE (Busunga) is an official. • A total of 40,493 screenings have been completed at sixteen (16) PoEs at the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). • Busunga registered approximately 21% of the flow and the highest number of persons screened (8,364).

Demographic

• Ratio of adult males and adult females 33:35. • 32% of the flow were children under 5 years old. • 60% of the flow in Bundijongya were children under 5 years old. Similarly, Nyankonda and Bulyatha registered significantly more children ratios than adults (49 and 44% respectively).
