Also selling handmade apparel was Jane Coombs, with help from her husband, Dick. The church, located on Lynnfield Street, has a long history, according to Swanson. “It’s a smaller congregation in a more modern building,” he said. “But it’s the oldest Protestant church on the Western Hemisphere, founded in 1632.” The craft fair, along with allowing mem- bers to sell some of their creations, is a way to raise money for the church and some programs it supports.
