Summary statement

Víctor Olmos is a professional architect that has been working along with his partner Gloria Ochoa in their offi ce olmos ochoa arquitectos. The studio has been awarded in various competitions and has built edifi ces which have merited to be published in architectural publications and exhibitions.

As a consultant he has collaborated with the international offi ce Baumschlager Eberle in two different periods. In the year 2010 at their offi ce in Lochau, Austria, and between 2012 and 2015 at the offi ce in Vaduz, Liechtenstein.

As Associate Professor he has taught for more than twenty years Design Projects in the School of Ar- chitecture of (ETSAM) at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). He has also been invited as lecturer or critic in a number of academic institutions, congresses and simpossiums, nationally and internationally. Among them, the Technische Universität München and the Universität Liechtenstein.

He has been tutor of more than a hundred of fi nal diplome projects and has acted as a jury for projects and fi nal projects in some spanish and international Universities.

Research

During two academic semesters 2013-2014 Victor Olmos has been invited as researcher at the ETH Zürich Department of Architecture by the Chair of Dietmar Eberle and the ETH Wohnforum’s director Margrit Hugentobler. He has been responsible for the project “Site Intelligence”, a continuation of studies of vernacular architecture in relation to sustainability criteria.

Professional experience

Víctor Olmos is co-founder with Gloria Ochoa of the architectural offi ce olmos ochoa arquitectos. The team has participated in some international competitions and in different architectural fi elds like public buildings or housing, always taking care about context, social environment, adequate structures or mate- rials and effi ciency.

Skills

Víctor Olmos is a fi ne designer and draftsman. He has high skills in computer design, CAD and image programs (among them Autocad, Archicad, Abis, Photoshop, Indesign, Offi ce). Recently he has been wor- king in sketching witn IPad, various systems that has taught in the 2015 summer school at the Universität Liechtenstein . He speaks Spanish as a native language, English in a professional high competence and German in a mid competence (C1).
