The Fifteenth Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly was constituted on the 21st May, 2016 after the General Elections held to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly on the 16th May, 2016.

I. SUMMONS

Summons for the First Session of the Fifteenth Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly were issued to the Members of the Legislative Assembly on the 23rd May, 2016 in S.O.Ms.No. 61, Legislative Assembly Secretariat, dated the 23rd May, 2016 to meet at 11.00 a.m on the 25th May, 2016.

II. DURATION OF THE MEETINGS

The First Meeting of the First Session of the Fifteenth Legislative Assembly commenced on the 25th May, 2016 and was adjourned sine-die on the 23rd June, 2016 and the Second Meeting of the First Session of the Fifteenth Legislative Assembly commenced on the 21st July, 2016 and was adjourned sine-die on the 2nd September, 2016.

Nancy Ann Cynthia Francis, as a 19th August, 2016, 22nd August, 2016, 23rd August, 2016, 24th August, Member of the Fifteenth Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly representing 2016, 29th August, 2016, 30th August, 2016, 31st August, 2016, the Anglo-Indian Community on the 26th May, 2016. APPOINTMENT OF SPEAKER PRO-TEM The election of Speaker and Deputy Speaker were held on the Thiru. S. Semmalai, Member, Legislative Assembly representing 3rd June, 2016. Mettur Assembly Constituency was appointed as the ‘Speaker Pro-tem’ by the Governor, in exercise of the powers conferred by On the 3rd June, 2016, the Speaker Pro-tem read out to the clause (1) of Article 180 of the Constitution of India. The General Elections to the Aravakurichi and Thanjavur Constituencies which here deferred initially and the Bye-election to the Thiruparankundram Constitutency were held on 19-11-2016. Thiruvalargal Hon. the Speaker, thereafter conducted the election of the V. Senthilbalaji, M. Rengasamy and A.K. Bose were elected from the Deputy Speaker. He read out to the Assembly the name of the Member respective Constitutencies and took oath in Tamil in the name of God who had been validly nominated for the office of the Deputy Speaker before the Hon.
