He is a coach at San Antonio McCollum High School. He was All-Lone Star Conference and was the league defensive player of the year in 2007-08. Mulkey holds the school record for most steals in a career with 229 and is second in career assists with 488. He is second in most steals in a season with 82, trailing current head coach Johnny Estelle who had 88 in 1995-96. He has the record for most steals (10) and assists (15) in a game.
