windows 10 download installation media Clean install - A Media driver your computer needs is missing. I've run into an odd problem when trying to clean install Windows 10 64-Bit on my ASUS G73JH-A1 using a USB 2.0 Flash Drive and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I can boot the G73JH-A1 from my USB 2.0 Flash Drive that was created by the Media Creation tool located : https://www.microsoft.com/en- us/soft. load/windows10. When setup starts I can get past where you select your language and keyboard but then I run into an error that says: A media driver your computer needs is missing. This could be a DVD, USB or Hard Disk driver. If you have a , DVD or USB flash drive with the driver on it Please insert it now. Note: if the installation media is in the windows DVD drive or on a USB drive, you can safely remove it from this step. Any idea how to get around this? I was reading some other posts about this issue that other are having on other computers and one solution was to use the 32-Bit version instead but I want to use the 64-Bit version. I've also read other posts saying that my download may be corrupted. So I've recreated my USB Flash Drive several times now to include both 32-Bit and 64-Bit even on a different computer. Same issue so a corrupt download is not the issue. I've tried using the 32-Bit selection and it works and does not report any missing drivers however the 64-Bit one behaves the same reporting missing drivers every . What driver is missing in the 64-Bit that is present in the 32-Bit? Any ideas? Just for some background info, I was running .1 on my G73JH-A1 and upgraded to Windows 10. It upgraded just fine and activated. I am not having any problems per say however I would feel a whole lot better running a clean install over and above an upgrade. When I clean installed Windows 8.1 x64 on my G73JH-A1 using my USB Flash Drive, I never ran into any issues. Any for this issue clean installing Windows 10 using my USB Flash Drive would be greatly appreciated. I know nothing about Macs, but do know they use different file systems. For Windows UEFI Bios machines, the flash drive needs to be a GPT\FAT32 type drive. For Windows Legacy Bios machines, the flash drive needs to be MBR\NTFS type drive. There is a free tool called FUFUS that will create these, but I do not know if there is a Mac version available. I have 5 OEM, DVD copies of Windows 10 Pro (not Enterprise) that I want to install on a new PCs. I want to create a USB installer. Using the standard media creation tool (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10) the edition options are Windows 10, Home Single Language, and Windows 10 N. If I try to install from this media using the Windows 10 edition it says the key is not valid for this edition. All 5 keys have the same error leading me to believe the problem lies with the media creation tool itself and not the keys. I recently purchased a Surface Pro X and for a few reasons upgraded Windows 10 by opting into the Program. However, I'm not able to drop back to the RTW releases. I cannot even change the Windows Insider ring from Slow or Fast to Release Preview. It keeps reverting to Slow or Fast. I have tried a local factory reset, and a cloud factory reset, and both keep me on the Insider Builds. The installation media creator does not create ARM media. I also have a Visual Studio subscription, but my.visualstudio.com only includes x86 and x64 releases. It does, however, include the driver kit, deployment kit, etc. Can you please help me to remove myself from the insider builds and drop back to RTW? Obtaining Windows 10 installation media.
