Kirkholm, Heronsford , Ballantrae, KA26 0LL Kirkholm, Heronsford, Ballantrae Delightful cottage situated in a sheltered, wooded setting in the beautiful surroundings of the Tig Valley located approx. 3 miles inland from the coastal village of Ballantrae. Location This corner of south west Ayrshire is renowned for its contrasting and unspoilt scenery and also its particularly mild climate throughout the year. Ballantrae also boasts a small harbour. The county town of Ayr is approximately 37 miles north, Prestwick Airport about 41 miles and Glasgow approximately 72 miles. Girvan provides nursery, primary and secondary schooling, a leisure facility with swimming pool, state of the art gym and soft play area (this called The Quay Zone), community hospital, a variety of shops both independent and multiple retailers, an attractive sea front , promenade and working harbour with moorings for pleasure craft. The town also has an ASDA supermarket and a railway station which offers connections north to Ayr and Glasgow and south to Stranraer Harbour. Directions Travelling from Girvan proceed south on A77 to the village of Ballantrae. Continue through the village and after crossing bridge accross the River Stinchar turn first left, unclassified road. Continue on this road to T junction and here turn left, signpost Colmonell. Continue down into the glen and pass the entrance to Laggan House Country Park Continue ahead and as road turns to the right (over stone bridge) proceed ahead, don’t cross over the bridge. Proceed straight ahead and down unmade track towards Kirkholm Cottage. Kirkholm Cottage is the first cottage of the pair on the left hand side. General Home Report is available on request. The unmade access road serving Kirkholm Cottage is a right of access in common with the neighbouring property. There is an area of ground to the right hand side of the unmade track which although has been maintained by the proprietors of Kirkholm Cottage does not form part of the title of the property.
