I thought this book did a good job of being an all things for all people so that from whichever path the Outlander lover followed to the companion they received something for it. A wonderful companion to the Outlander series full of synopses, explanations, discussions about sex and violence in writing, essays on her writing style and writing in general, information about costumes, cookery and herbs, maps and floor plans of relevant places, and a comprehensive annotated Gaidhlig glossary and pronunciation guide. Besides getting to read snippets from some of the books, there is a lot of interesting information about the Gaelic language, the making of the show and the medicine of the past vs today.
