Mulberry melts into summer – 2018!
Jumping into June…
Monday 4th – Table Tennis – Grab your Bats and meet us in the Garden from 1.30pm.
Tuesday 5th – Coffee morning in the tea room from 10:30am. Tracey gets “Fruity” with her Tooty Fruity tasting session.
Wednesday 6th – Collage morning – join us from 10.00am for a morning of Arts, Crafts & Laughter in the Blackberry dining room. Putteridgebury Afternoon Tea with the Young at Heart Club, meet in main reception from 1.30pm.
Thursday 7th – Get those brains in gear! Karen’s picture Quiz starts at 10.30am in the Blueberry dining room. From 2pm Karen will be in the Garden for this week’s Gardening Club.
Friday 8th – Sing-a-long with Rebecca and the organ – meet in the conservatory lounge from 10.00am.
Monday 11th – Keep fit with Karen – join us in the conservatory lounge from 10.00am. Get those walking boots on – this afternoon we are going for a walk in Westmoreland Park. Meet us in reception from 2pm.
Tuesday 12th – Join us for our church service from 11am in Strawberry lounge. Followed by our monthly residents meeting – all welcome – 1.30pm. Karen will be showing off her flower arranging skills from 2pm in the Blackberry Lounge.
Wednesday 13th – Fathers Day Luncheon at the Warden Tavern– meet in reception at 11.30am – all welcome! Check our Crops – its Gardening Club from 3pm.
Thursday 14th – If you’re a Gentleman and you like a Club then our Gentleman’s Club is for you! Join in the conservatory from 10.00am.
Today is National Cupcake Day – raising money for Alzheimer’s Society – cup cakes galore and much, much more….
Friday 15th – La, la, la, la your way to the Singing Café – meet in reception from 9.30am. Join us in the garden from 2pm for a banging banger…..it’s BBQ Season!
Saturday 16th – Oakley Road Motorcycle Club will be joining us in the Main Car Park from 11am – come and have a look at their magnificent machines!
Monday 18th – Knit & Natter club in the tea room from 10.00am – gets those needles clacking! Join Tracy from 2pm on Blueberry for a Line-Dancing Session – and dosey-doe your partners!
Tuesday 19th – All the “T’S” – for Tracey’s Tea Tasting Session at 10.00am. In the Tea Room! River Lea – join us from 2pm in reception for a stroll along the river bank.
The preparations start now for our “Independent Day”! What does independence mean to you? From 10.00am in the conservatory, we will be holding a reflection session to find out whether Mulberry can make your dreams come true!
Wednesday 20th – Luton is the home of the Straw Boater. Come and show them how it’s done – make your own hat for tomorrow’s race day. Calling all twinkle toes – we are off to the young at heart club from 1:30pm!
Thursday 21st – Place your bets! It’s Race Day…join us in the Blueberry Lounge from 10.00am – don’t forget your hat! Gardening Club from 2pm - all welcome
Friday 22nd – Sing-a-long with Rebecca and her Ukulele – conservatory lounge from 10.00am. Book reading Club – Wauluds Primary School will be joining us from 1.30pm.
Monday 25th – Karen’s Karoke Corner from 10.00am in the Blueberry Lounge. Get those vocal chords tuned! Will our crops be ready for harvest? Let’s go and check! Meet in the garden from 2pm.
Tuesday 26th – Pen Pal Club continues…….Ruby woofs her way round Mulberry this morning from 11am! From 2:00pm – We will be Biscuit making & baking in the main kitchen – meet in reception .
Wednesday 27th – Coffee morning and reading club from 10:30am in Strawberry dining room! Meet us in reception from 1:30pm if you’re “young at heart”!
Thursday 28th - Independence Day Arts & Crafts starts here from 10.00am! Go baaaa-my with the sheep – at Woodside Animal Farm – meet in reception from 1.30pm.
Friday 29th – We’re off on our Holibobs to Great Yarmouth…!

Tuesday 3rd – The Pearly Queen will be in the conservatory lounge from 10.30am for a right ole knees up! Join us from 2pm as we sort the Wheat from the Shaft – it’s flower arranging time with Karen on Blueberry.
Mulberry puts a spin on “Independence Day”! We proudly present Mulberry’s very own “Independent Day”! A day spent understanding the importance of “Independence” and what this means to our residents. Reflecting on our reflection session we aim to make as many dreams come true by promoting personal independence goals. To raise staff awareness, staff will be wearing Red, White & Blue. Elvis will be in the building from 2.30pm – uh-huh!! American themed BBQ with Cream Sodas! (from 12pm) Line Dancing Best dressed Hat Competition Pin the tail on the Racoon competition **Join us for this all day event – from 10.30am ** Thursday 5th - Gardening Club continues… let’s get that garden blooming…!
Friday 6th – Sail away with us! We are off on a Canal Trip with a fish ‘n’ chip lunch. Meet in reception from 10.00am
Tuesday 10th – Join us for our church service from 11am in Strawberry lounge. Followed by our monthly residents meeting – all welcome – 1.30pm.
Wednesday 11th – Sensory Arts & Crafts session from 10.00am on Blackberry. If you’re Young at Heart, meet in reception from 1.30pm for our weekly visit to the Young at Heart Club at St John’s Sundon Park.
Friday 13th – Sandra and her Sax will be joining us from 10.30am in the conservatory to play away the blues. We “Serve” afternoon tea & strawberries and cream to celebrate Wimbledon fortnight coming to an end in the garden from 2pm.
Tuesday 17th – Coffee morning in the tea room from 10.30am with Tracey. We will be “teeing” off in the garden from 2pm – join us for an afternoon of lawn games.
Wednesday 18th – Join us for Lunch at Harpers Tea Rooms in Pepperstock. Meet in reception from 11.30am.
Thursday 19th - You’ll be “bowled over” as we join the Prime Timers club at Go Bowling Dunstable – meet in reception from 10.30am.
Friday 20th – We round the week off with a banging BBQ – served all day.

First Week in August will be spent preppin for our Summer Fete!
Saturday 4th – How Great… it’s Mulberry’s annual Summer fete! Join us for a day of fun filled family action! From 11am Tombola; raffle; BBQ; refreshments; live music; stalls galore & much, much more…
Monday 6th – Stand by your beds! We are off to hit those skittles! Meet in reception from 10.30am as we head off to Go Bowling in Dunstable.
Wednesday 8th – We are off to Wrest Park for tea & cakes and stroll around the gardens – we leave at 2pm, so meet in reception from 1.30pm.
Friday 10th – “All the fun of the fair!” Join us for a fun filled day – from 11am From 2pm rock around the clock when the Rock ‘n’ Roll show comes to Mulberry!
Tuesday 14th - Join us for our church service from 11am in Strawberry lounge. Followed by our monthly residents meeting – all welcome – 1.30pm. At 2.30pm we will be going “Crazy” in the garden with our Crazy Golf!
Friday 17th – Meet in reception from 9.30am as we sing our way to the Singing Café at the Baptist Church in Sundon Park.
Monday 20th – Tickle your senses! We’re off to the Hitchin Lavender farm – meet in reception from 9.30am.
Tuesday 21st – Strike me down! It’s our fortnightly trip to Go Bowling in Dunstable – meet in reception from 10.30am .
Wednesday 22nd – Balloon Tennis – join us in the Blueberry lounge from 10.00am. Work off those lunch-time calories with a Line Dancing session in Blackberry Lounge.
Thursday 23rd – Mulberry’s annual seaside trip! “Oh we do like to be beside the seaside!” See individual flyer for further details.
Friday 24th – Join us for a morning stroll along the River Lea – meet in reception at 11.00am.
Tuesday 28th – Play Your Cards Right! We will have a morning full of games across all floors. 2.30pm – Pray for an afternoon of Sun and join us for a Picnic in the Garden.
Friday 31st - Mulberry presents our ever popular Friends & Family focussed evening! Join us for our legendary Quiz Night ~ from 6:30pm. Refreshments will be served – bring your own Booze! See posters for further details ~ Booking is essential @ £5 per person.

Saturday 1st – Seventh Day Adventist Church Choir will be visiting Strawberry Conservatory from 3pm.
Monday 3rd – A step back in time – we are off to the Wardown Park Museum – meet in reception from 1.30pm.
Tuesday 4th – Tantilise those taste buds with Tracey’s Tea tasting session in the Tea room from 10.00am. The Seaside comes to Luton! Mulberry hosts it’s very own Seaside Adventure Fun Day.
Wednesday 5th – The Young at Heart Club resumes after its summer break. Join us in reception from 1.30pm if you fancy an afternoon of chit-chat, dancing & refreshments.
Thursday 6th – You will be “bowled over” at our fortnightly trip out to Go Bowling in Dunstable. Meet in reception from 10.30am.
Friday 7th – Join us from 10.30am in the conservatory, as our entertainers take you on a “Musical Journey” We end the week with a flaming burger or two, join us in the garden for a BBQ from 1.30pm.
Monday 10th – Tracey will be holding her Pamper morning on the Blueberry suite, pop along to get those nails polished! The children from Whitefields School will be joining us in the afternoon from 2pm for an Arts & Crafts session on the Blackberry Suite.
Tuesday 11th - Join us for our church service from 11am in Strawberry lounge. Followed by our monthly residents meeting – all welcome – 1.30pm. Meet in reception at 1.30pm and “Let’s go fly a Kite”! at Dunstable Downs.
Wednesday 12th – Line up, line up! From 10.00am its Line Dancing classes with Tracey & Karen in the conservatory lounge. Join us in reception from 1.30pm if you’re after an afternoon of chit-chat, dancing & refreshments, as we head off for our weekly visit to the Young at Heart Club.
Thursday 13th – Gee up, Gee up – it’s Race Morning – place your bets! Come and join us from 10.00am in the Conservatory Lounge.
Friday 14th – Mulberry Court’s Annual Community Open day – a fun filled morning where we throw open our doors to the community. Join us from 11am in the Strawberry dining room. Coffee, Natter & general merriment!
Monday 17th – Grab those trolleys we are off to Sainsbury’s! Meet in reception from 1.30pm. Tuesday 18th – Come “bowl” with us! – Fortnightly trip out to Go Bowling in Dunstable, meet in reception from 10.30am.
Wednesday 19th – If you’re Young at Heart join us at St John’s in Sundon Park for a club right up your street. Meet in reception from 1.30pm.
Friday 21st – World Alzheimer’s Day Mulberry will be taking part in this National Event to raise awareness on the effects of Alzheimer’s disease. We will be hosting a Community Open day and inviting members of our local community to come along and share in this event with us. A fun day filled with Mulberry Merriment! Monday 24th – Ruby the Pat Dog wags her way into Mulberry from 10.30am. Treats at the ready! The children from Whitefields School will be joining us in the Strawberry conservatory from 2pm for an afternoon of Arts & Crafts.
Tuesday 25th – Barton Water Mill – join us for a stroll around the Dickensian Shopping Village followed by a cuppa and their famous Scones & Cream. Meet in reception from 10.00am. Karen’s ever popular Karaoke Corner returns from 2pm in the conservatory.
Wednesday 26th – Coffee morning from 10:30am in the tea room. Laugh your way to the Young at Heart Club from 2pm!
Thursday 27th – We are hitting Luton Arndale Centre – for a day of shopping, at The Mall. Meet in reception from 11.00am.
Friday 28th – Sing your way to the singing café at 10am or join us for Tracey’s keep fit group from 10:30am in strawberry lounge!
