Getting to Park, , LS8 2ER - From all for directions For the Saucony English National Cross Country Championships 2010 There are NO public car parks in the area that can cope with the numbers attending the “National” and all parking will be on the streets. Please be aware that this is a residential area and you must not obstruct any access. You will not be able to park on the roads bordering Soldiers Field. Club Tents may be dropped off at the Junction of Park Avenue and West Avenue at the Officials access point (signposted and marked on site map) but no parking will be allowed at that point. A pass will be required to drop tents off at this point. Passes, 1 per Club, can be obtained from Joe Mower, send SAE to Joe Mower, 188 Hadleigh Rd, Ipswich, Suffolk IP2 0DH

You may choose to approach the park as follows: • From the M1, M62 or A1, proceed to Junction 46 of MI and take the A63 towards Leeds • At 2nd Roundabout take 3rd Exit A6120 • Continue 3 miles to A58 Road and turn left towards Leeds • Turn right at 1st Roundabout into Oakwood Lane and proceed straight across at traffic lights which will bring you to the Soldiers Field section of the park where the start / finish areas and changing tents are located.

OR

• When heading towards Leeds on the A58, turn right at the first set of traffic lights into Wetherby Road. Park where practical along Wetherby Road – do not obstruct residential access and note any restrictions that may apply. Continue along Wetherby Road on foot and Soldiers Field is on the right at the next traffic lights / road junction.

OR

• To avoid the worst of the traffic and parking problems in the immediate neighbourhood of Roundhay Park, you may park in the Limewood Industrial Park area. This is situated on the left hand side of the Ring Road, after you have left the A64 but before you reach the A58. From there it will be approximately 2 miles to walk to Soldiers Field. • A shuttle bus service with wheelchair access will be provided from 9.00 am throughout the day Limewood Approach to Soldiers Field / Oakwood.

OR

You may park in the centre of Leeds, or travel to Leeds by public transport and catch a bus to Oakwood, at the Leeds end of Soldiers Field. Buses numbered 12 leave from Bus stop number V2 situated approximately 500m from Leeds City Station. Turn right outside the station and walk down the small slip road to Boar Lane. Cross at pedestrian crossing and turn right along Boar Lane, past Mac Donalds and Briggate. Turn Left at Vicar Lane (opposite Corn Exchange) the bus stop is 30/40m on left. All bus stops are numbered.

COACH PARKING Coaches will arrive at the event via Princes Avenue from a northerly direction; all will be directed by signage to the old Tram car park where they will drop off and then go to the Coach Park at Redhall (LS17 8NB) following Princes Avenue, Wetherby Road, and left turn in to Redhall Lane to be parked at Parks and Countryside Redhall Depot. Clubs using a Coach to advise their coach company of this traffic arrangement prior to the event. The Tram car park can accommodate 7 Coaches at any one time. The Coaches will be managed by LCC staff. Returning coaches to arrive from a Northerly direction to Princes Avenue and exit in a Southerly direction towards Oakwood Clock.
