Brooks (Contributing Editor/CUBuffs.com), Josh Casey (Graduate Assistant) 2013 COLORADO BUFFALO Football 2013 SEASON NOTES BUFFS WIN FOUR GAMES IN FIRST YEAR OF MacINTYRE ERA RELEASE NUMBER 13 (January 22, 2014) CUBUFFS.COM QUICKLY SPEAKING … The Colorado Buffaloes closed out their 124th season of intercollegiate football with a 4-8 record, 1-8 in Pac-12 league games … The Buffaloes played eight bowl teams in 2013 (which went 7-1) and five schools that won 10 or more games in what USA Today ranked as the nation’s sixth toughest schedule … Colorado improved in 29 major statistical categories over the 2012 season numbers (full list on page 9) … A total of 69 players lettered in 2013 (30 offense, 35 defense, four specialists; complete list on page 5) … Colorado will open the 2014 season in two NFL stadiums, Sports Authority Field at Mile High (Denver; Colorado State, Aug. 30) and Gillette Stadium (New England; Massachusetts, Sept. 6) … For the second straight season, CU won’t have a weekday game; it dates back to the Buffs having four in their first two seasons in the Pac-12 … Arizona State visits Boulder in week three, the earliest conference opener for CU since Kansas was the foe in 1999 when CU was in the Big 12; date-wise (Sept.
