BUILT FOR SPEED Speed kills in football – a point the Pirates understand. Hampton is loaded with speed in the backfield and on the edges in terms of the team’s wide receivers, speed which new offensive coordinator Glen Ferebee will hope to use to his advantage as he tries to improve Hampton’s offense from its 21.7 points per game total from a year ago. Among the speedsters in the backfield will be senior Antwon Chisholm, the 2010 MEAC Rookie of the Year, as well as sophomore quarterback Brian Swain.

Chisholm averaged 5.4 yards per carry last season and is the top returning rusher for the Pirates, while Swain averaged 4.6 yards per rush and had 105 yards on the 2013 HAMPTON UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL ground at Howard last season.
