CricketinAustraliahasnotpreviouslyseenor developedacohesivesetofnationalguidelinesfor venuesthatprovideforcommunitylevelcricket. Thisisadocumentofconsiderablesignificance andonethataimstoalignnationalcricketfacility andinfrastructureplanninganddevelopment objectiveswithourgovernment,communityand industrypartners. Throughanextensivenationalconsultation processandaProjectSteeringGroupconsisting ofstateandnationalcricketpartners,Stateand LocalGovernmentrepresentatives,designers andproductindustrypersonnel,wehavenow developedthemostcomprehensivecricket facilityresourceeverproducedinAustralia.An achievementweareveryproudofandaresource thatweremaincommittedtodevelopingand continuingtoimprove. UseoftheGuidelineswillassistthenationalcricket community,government,landowners,schools, technicalandplanningconsultantsandindustry supplierstoaccessrelevantinformation.Further, itwillensureanagreed,adoptedandconsistent approachtofacilityplanning,design,development andmanagementisachieved.
