Spardha and Sintilla

Spardha is an inter institute sports fest which is hosted by the Institute annually. It provides an opportunity to all the students of various branches to compete and showcase their talent in various sports like Football, Cricket, Chess, Badminton, Table Tennis, and Volleyball etc.

Sintilla is an intra-institute culture fest which is hosted by the Institute annually. It provides a platform for students overall development. Various events like dancing, singing, face painting, rangoli, and photography etc., organized by Central Organizing Committee comprise of students from various branches.

Professional Activities

Each branch of engineering has a forum to provide platform to every studentfor exposition of his/her professional talent. The activities of each forum aregoverned by an Executive Body elected by the students under the supervisionof a Faculty Advisor nominated by the concerned Head of Department.Debates, Group Discussions, I.Q. Tests, Quizzes, Literary Activities, Short Tours,Professional/Inspirational Talks by eminent persons etc. are arranged by theForum. In addition, Branch/Students Chapters of prominent ProfessionalBodies, such as IEEE, Computer Society of India, Indian Society for TechnicalEducation and the Institution of Engineers (India) are also operating in theInstitute.

84

General Proficiency In the curriculum of each year there is a provision of marks for the General Proficiency. These marks are awarded on the basis of general performance\ behavior/discipline and participation in different of Student Activities.

NCC Our institute has opted for NCC on voluntary basis as it provide grooming to the college students and inculcate in them the feeling of patriotism and discipline, since the motto of NCC is “UNITY ANDDISCIPLINE”. Earlier NCC was joined by students for 2 years but now as per the changes it is now for a duration of 3 years, where they are certified for A, B and C.The students admitted in this NCC training are given preference over normal candidates during selections based on the achievements in the corps after completion of their training period. The army unit under which our institute is accommodated for NCC is 77 UK BATTALION.

NSS Central theme of NSS is to impress upon students and to enhance their social responsibility. The students are trained not only totreat their period of study as one of the opportunities for indulgence in intellectual luxury but also to prepare themselves for final dedication in the service of those who provided the sinews of the nation with the national goods and service essential to society. Advising them to form a living contact with the community in those midst their institutional is located.

85

ALUMNI ASSOCIATION The BTKIT Alumni Association provides a platform to its former students to maintain connections with their Alma Mater and also amongst themselves and their junior fellows. All the former students of the Institute and faculty are eligible for the life membership of association. The batch-wise alumni meets are held regularly to provide opportunity to its former students and faculty. The alumni of the Institute have been deeply involved in the placement and other activities for the benefit of the students.
