Residents may apply to have a spot treatment of dust suppressant applied on the County road in front of their residence approximately 200 Meters in length. Fees for participation in this program is as follows: All County Residents - $315.00 You will notice that the total fee has increased by $15.00 for 2015. This increase is due to an Audit that was completed by the Federal Government and they have directed Athabasca County to add the GST amount to their Dust Abatement Fee. No guarantee regarding the dust control effectiveness is implied and the County reserves the right to grade the road if surface conditions so require. Due to scheduling timelines, all applications and payments must be received in our office prior to April 27, 2015 in order to be eligible for this program. All applications received after the deadline WILL NOT be accepted. The County reserves the right to refuse an application if it is deemed that the roadway has sufficient residual dust control product from previous years.
