Job Title: Senior Job Description:

Under the umbrella of Other Ocean Group, Sculpin’s new development division is looking for a talented and driven individual to take on the role of Senior Programmer. The ideal candidate should have experience in varied areas of game development and be able and willing to work on any area of game programming as needed. Experience in mentoring and training for is prefered.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience as a programmer in the game industry and or related field • Bachelor’s degree in Science, or ability to demonstrate coding knowledge/ability • Must be strongly self motivated and an independent worker • Expert working knowledge of ++ or C#, and Object Oriented Design • Understanding of 3D math, statistics and probability • Excellent problem solving skills, with a proven ability to solve hard problems • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Positive attitude with a desire to work within a team environment towards a common goal • Ability to estimate work load and execute on the work in the time estimated

Assets:

• Experience with any of the following languages: Java, Ruby, Javascript, shaders • Experience prototyping gameplay using Unity, Unreal, or other equivalent engine • Console programming experience • Experience with Virtual or Augmented Reality • Experience working on game server development considered a large bonus • Experience with automated testing • Varied experience in game programming e.g. gameplay, systems, physics, networking, rendering, UI, etc. • Experience with version control systems such as Git, Perforce or SVN
