There Are a Number of Different Licensed Or Approved Premises Where Weddings and Civil Partnerships Can Take Place There are a number of different licensed or approved premises where weddings and civil partnerships can take place. A complete list of venues in Monmouthshire can be found in this booklet. Register Office in Abergavenny telephone 01873 735435 email: [email protected] Your Marriage or Civil Partnership There are two rooms which can be used for marriages and civil partnerships; the Register Office for more intimate ceremonies (maximum of 10 guests) and the Sir Fynwy Room which can accommodate 50 guests in addition to the bride and groom. If you book your marriage or civil partnership to take place in the Sir Fynwy Room, you will be given a choice of several ceremonies. You will be able to include readings and music of your own choice. You may bring the music on a CD or you may wish to employ a musician to play live as you make your big entrance. Couples have exclusive use of the gardens at the weekend, providing an ideal photo opportunity (the Skirrid and Blorenge mountains provide the perfect backdrop) or even to share a glass of champagne with guests. There is disabled access at this location. If you would like to make a provisional booking, or to see the rooms, please do not hesitate to contact us. There are many alternative wedding venues in Monmouthshire. Please find a list below of all the approved venues in Monmouthshire. Please contact the venue for more details (please click on the underlined venues to be directed to their website).
