Versus Eastern Division 0-0 Versus Western Division 7-21 Baysox Starter: LHP Bruce Zimmermann makes the start today for the Baysox. This is his fifth start of the year. He Current Streak L1 has been the Bowie's most consistent starter this season, coming with a 1.57 ERA in four starts prior. Zimmermann Last Homestand 2-5 was acquired by the Orioles at the 2018 Trade Deadline in a deal with the Atlanta Braves that sent Kevin Gausman Current Road Trip 1-1 and Darren O'Day to Atlanta. Mize has had a dynamic start to his 2019 season. Erwin leads the team in wins with two, and has the only three saves recorded by Bowie. In 12.2 Ahead After 7 Innings 4-0 innings, Erwin has a 2.13 ERA, and has not allowed a run in nine of his 11 appearances. Behind After 7 Innings 1-15 Bann-On a Run: INF Rylan Bannon has been the Baysox best hitter throughout the 2019 season. Bannon leads the Tied After 7 Innings 2-5 team in home runs (4), RBI (14), batting average (.313) and runs scored (13). Bannon also has the only two four-hit Ahead After 8 Innings 5-0 games for the team this season and has eight multi-hit games. Behind After 8 Innings 1-13 Tied After 8 Innings 1-4 Scouting the SeaWolves: Erie comes into this four game series with an even record of 11-11 on the season. Derek Hill is the team leader with three home runs, and Kody Eaves leads the way When Scoring First 5-6 with 14 RBI. Erie's starting rotation features three former first round picks, including Casey Mize, the #1 overall selection in the 2018 MLB Draft. Mize made his AA debut last week, and pitched a complete game no-hitter. Outielder Ryan No Home Runs 1-15 McKenna (#7) and Left-Handed Pitcher Zac Lowther (#8) also rank in the Orioles' top ten. Pitchers Hunter Harvey No Errors Committed 4-7 (#12), Dillon Tate (#18), Zach Pop (#20) and Infielder Rylan Bannon (#23) round out the top prospects that start the 2019 campaign with the Baysox. Baysox vs. Erie 2019 Record: 2-6 The Buck Starts Here: 2019 marks Buck Britton's first season as manager of the Bowie Baysox. Britton replaces Gary Kendall, who was the head man in Bowie from 2011-2018. Britton picked up his first victory as a AA manager 4/15 vs. Erie L, 9-6 on April 7 against the Harrisburg Senators. Last season, Britton managed the Delmarva Shorebirds, leading the 4/16 vs. Erie L, 6-5 club to a 68-66 record. Prior to getting into coaching, Britton played nine seasons in Minor League Baseball, and 4/17 vs. Erie L, 8-3 spent parts of 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 with the Baysox.
