The club won consecutive NWSL Shields in 2014 and 2015, finishing at the top of the table both seasons. Head coach Laura Harvey was named the NWSL Coach of the Year for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. The club missed the playoffs in 2016 and 2017, before returning in 2018 in its first season under head coach Vlatko Andonovski.
