The defender suited up for his fourth different team this month on Sunday when he scored a hat trick for the Langley Warriors in a 12-9 loss to the Nanaimo DBL Timbermen in senior B action. After finishing his junior A season with the Nanaimo Timbermen, McDougall signed on with the DBL squad. Then on Saturday he went to Frank Crane Arena to operate the scoreboard at that night's Western Lacrosse Association game, and ended up being recruited by T-men coach Art Webster to play that night against the Maple Ridge Burrards. "The A was definitely a big step and hopefully I can start practising with them and learn a lot with them," McDougall said. "It will really help me out towards my game with what I can learn from those coaches. With all the talent on that team, playing with them is only going to benefit my game." Sunday's strange situation of playing against the DBL Timbermen came about because McDougall's former Team B.C. coach, of the Langley Warriors, asked the youngster to suit up for that under-manned team. McDougall took the challenge so seriously that he not only scored a hat trick, but also took a couple of penalties including a fighting major when he got into it with DBL player Graeme Ross.

Three teams qualified for Provincials – Medals in Midget B, Bantam C. Bantam A2 played hard but fell just short of medaling. Very strong placements across many divisions this Year. Pee Wee A2 Gold Medal in 2 tournaments, Novice A2 finished 1st in their division. Another successful Sid Dann Pee Wee tourney this year (Bronze Medal for Pee Wee C) Hosted WLA exhibition game this year (first since 1993). Invited Vancouver Burrards alumni to participate. Photo Day – Games for the kids and a fun BBQ Increased use of South Memorial Box to further promote Lacrosse and Community involvement Conducted 8 days of lacrosse clinics in Vancouver Elementary Schools (with the help of the Vancouver Stealth and VMLA Volunteers. Conducted 4 days of “Bring a Friend” days to introduce lacrosse to new players.

It is also important that we remind ourselves of the incredible contributions of the tireless volunteers and dedicated staff whose efforts make this great game possible. The past 100 years of hockey in BC and the Yukon have left an indelible mark on the lives of all participants. Our past experiences and commitment in keeping hockey the greatest sport in Canada will continue to guide us in the future. Chair of the Board Bill Greene We will celebrate this memorable occasion with many activities planned throughout British Columbia and the Yukon. The 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship being held in Victoria and Vancouver in December 2018 and January 2019 will bring together excited participants, volunteers and hockey fans, and ‘Celly’, our recently unveiled mascot will be on the guest list as an added bonus to many scheduled events. In addition to the Road to World Junior Championship School Tour that kicks off this October and visits many communities across BC. Together there is nothing we cannot accomplish. Our goal will be to continue to implement decisions that ensure our programming is based on current data with a direct connection to the national Long Term Player Development Model. This will improve the athletic skills of our players and provide clear direction for our coaches, bench staff and officials.
