During this time I taught Theory and Practice of Counseling, Process and Techniques of Counseling, Family Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Individual Appraisal of Intelligence I and II the Wechsler Scales, as well as Practicum in Counseling and other graduate classes in counseling. 1992-2000 - Professor and Coordinator of Counseling and Educational Psychology in the Department of Administration, Counseling, and Educational Studies, Eastern Kentucky University. My teaching responsibilities included graduate courses in tests and measurement and theories of counseling. Program Director of a 48 hour School Counseling and a 60 hour Mental Health Counseling Program. 1996 – 2003 – During this time I served on the original Kentucky CPC and later LPC Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and was instrumental in writing the initial CPC Law and the Kentucky Administrative Regulations required to establish the Board and begin the process of credentialing candidates. 1998 – 2001- As a contract psychologist I conducted psychological evaluations and did individual and group counseling and staff development and supervision at Spectrum Care Academy a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) in London and Columbia, Kentucky. 1995 - 1998 - As a contract psychologist I conducted psychological evaluations for the Fayette County Schools on a part time basis. These were reevaluations for the purpose of determining continued appropriate placement of children 2 receiving special education services. Dec 1978 - Sep.1995 - During this time period I consulted as a counseling psychologist, one day per week, with the Adanta Clinical Services first in Whitley City, and then in Somerset, Kentucky. In this capacity I conducted psychological evaluations as requested by several agencies in McCreary County and then later in the Somerset community (e.g. courts, public schools, vocational rehabilitation, social security office as well as the Department of Human Services). This is the highest award given by this association for leadership in school counseling in the state of Kentucky. 3 4 In October of 1993, I was awarded the Kearney Campbell Memorial Award for outstanding promotion of guidance and counseling in Kentucky. This is the most prestigious award given by the 1400 member Kentucky Counseling Association. I served as president of this association in 1991-92. 4.
