1. INTRODUCTION

1.1. Preamble This rally will be run in compliance with the 2020 FIA International Sporting Code and its appendices, the 2020 FIA Sporting Regulations, the National Sporting Regulations which comply with the FIA regulations and these Supplementary Regulations. Modifications, amendments and/or changes to these Supplementary Regulations will be announced only by numbered and dated Bulletins (issued by the organiser or the Stewards).

4. ENTRIES

4.1. Closing date for entries The closing date for entries is Wednesday 21 October 2020 at 23:59 (CET).

4.2. Entry procedure All competitors Those wishing to take part in Renties Ypres Rally Belgium 2020 must register and fill in the electronic entry form published at https://registrations.fia.com/wrcbel duly completed before the closing date for entries.

Referring to Art 6.3.1 of the 2020 FIA WRC Sporting Regulations, the drivers willing to score points in WRC3 Championship must register with the FIA before the closing date of entries of the first rally entered.

By sending an electronic form, the competitor undertakes to abide by the rules and regulations of the competition, as well as the prescriptions of the 2020 FIA WRC SR Art. 22.5. Duly completed entry form signed by both crew members has to be presented at the Administrative checks by the representative of the team. If a competitor cannot make the entry on the internet, he must contact the rally secretariat before close of entries for further instructions.

The entry application should be accompanied by: ● The payment of total entry fee ● Photocopies of: o FIA licenses of the competitor and both crew members o Driving Licenses of both crew members o First page of the car homologation papers with the number, group and cylinder capacity

4.3. Number of competitors accepted and classes

4.3.1 Number of competitors The maximum number of entries will be 140. If more than 140 entries are received the acceptance of entries amongst the national cars will be at the sole discretion of the organiser. A reserve list of a maximum of 20 cars might be created.

4.3.2 Classes of cars Must comply with 2020 FIA WRC SR Art. 12.4.

4.3.3 National classes of cars See Appendix 8 – Specific items for national cars. All cars and Drivers must comply with all 2020 FIA Safety Regulations Appendix J and Appendix L and with all other applicable provisions and procedures stipulated in the FIA WRC Sporting Regulations (e.g. tyres, barcodes, fuel, restart regulations etc).

4.4. Entry fees / Entry packages for private competitors

4.4.1 Entry fees Manufacturers, WRC Teams WRC2 and WRC3 competitors entered in the FIA World Rally Championship – as per 2020 FIA WRC SR, Appendix VI, see also Art. 4.5.

Junior World Rally Championship competitors – as agreed with the JWRC Promoter.

Non-priority competitors and national cars: Including Organisers optional advertising € 1.700 Excluding Organisers optional advertising € 3.200 Reduction of € 150 if payment received before 1 October 2020.

Junior entries: Including Organisers optional advertising € 1.130 Reduction is not valid for Junior entries.

Drivers under 28 (born on or after 1.1.1992) will be eligible as Junior Competitor if driving a Rally 4 or Rally 5 car and if not registered for the Junior World Rally Championship.

● The payment must include all charges involved with the transfer. ● Please ensure that the “last name of the driver and RYR 2020 Entry Fee” are included as a reference on the bank transfer document. ● The full payment of the entry fee must be on the Organisers bank account before the closing date for entries. No entry will be accepted without the full payment.

4.6. Refunds The entry fee will be refunded in full: ● To candidates whose entry has not been accepted ● In case the event does not take place

The organiser may partially refund entry fees, if a competitor cannot take part in the event due to a duly proved case of force majeure. This must be applied for in writing ([email protected]), giving the reason of withdrawal, before Tuesday 17 November (start of administrative checks), including competitor’s bank details.

5. INSURANCE

Contract nr 730.261.439 AXA Belgium. Eligible for the rally including Shakedown.

The Organiser has contracted an Auto Liability Insurance according to FIA RRSR Art. 16, Chapter 2/Art 5 of the National Sporting Rules and the Belgian Law concerning the compulsory liability insurance for motor vehicles of 21 November 1989 – Art. 8 which covers the third party liability of the nominative mentioned competitors (on the official list) and this only during the Wednesday and Thursday tests, Shakedown and the running within the itinerary of the rally, from the start of the first competition element until the end of the rally or at the moment of permanent retirement or disqualification.

5.1. Motor vehicle liability Insured limits: • Bodily injury: unlimited per claim • Property damage: EUR 100,000,000 per claim (index)

All cars participating in the rally must compulsory have a minimum of Motor Vehicle Insurance as proof that the car has valid third party liability insurance for Belgium, the appropriate Green Card (International Motor Insurance Card, or other certificate stating that the policy to which this certificate relates satisfies the requirements of the relevant law applicable in Belgium and France) must be presented at the administrative check.

The Service, Auxiliary and Recce vehicles and cars used for reconnaissance, even those bearing special plates issued by the Organisers, are not covered by the insurance policy of the rally.

5.2. Public liability “Organiser” The Organiser has contracted a Civil Public Liability Organiser Insurance, which covers for damage to third parties caused by an accident during the preparation, conduct and the physical settlement of the event and that is due to an organizational fault. Insured limits

Liability: ● Bodily injury, property damage and consequential financial loss combined: EUR 25.000.000 per claim ● Deductible: EUR 125 per claim for property damage

Legal assistance: ● EUR 15.000 per claim

Insured: ● The Organiser ● The FIA ● The RACB ● The Promotor ● The officials ● The National Sports Commission ● The members of the Red Cross or similar Organisation ● The members of the Civil Protection ● The participants ● The marshals ● The intervention vehicles ● And in general, every person which participates in the Organisation of the rally

5.3. Public liability “Volunteers” The Organiser has contracted Public Liability Volunteers Insurance for damages caused to a third party by volunteers, which he appeals, during their volunteer activities. Commuting of these volunteers is also covered.

Insured limits: ● Bodily injury: EUR 12,394,676.24 per claim (index) ● Property Damage: EUR 619,733.81 per claim (index)

5.4. Responsibility waiver The Organiser declines all responsibility in relation with any consequence of any breach of laws, regulations and decrees of the crossed territories committed by the Drivers or Competitors. Those consequences will be assumed by the perpetrator(s). The Organiser declines also all responsibility in case of cataclysm, demonstrations, riots, assaults, sabotage, terrorism, global pandemic etc. of which the Competitors, Drivers, team members or occupants of a vehicle could be the victim and the consequences (material, penal and sporting) of which must be borne by themselves.

6. ADVERTISING AND IDENTIFICATION

6.1. Advertising

6.1.1 Restrictions Advertising for tobacco is forbidden in Belgium. These laws apply to competing cars, service cars, team equipment and/or clothing.

6.1.2 Organiser’s supplementary and optional advertising (see Appendix 4) The Organiser’s obligatory and optional advertising on the doors, roof and rear window plates will be announced in a Bulletin.

6.2. Identification Competition numbers and rally plates according to the 2020 FIA WRC SR Art. 28.2, will be provided by the Organiser. See also Appendix 4. Numbers and plates must be affixed on the rally car before the car is brought to scrutineering and must be visible throughout the duration of the rally.

7. TYRES

7.1. Tyres specified for use during the rally In addition to complying with Articles 13,14 and 15 of the 2020 WRC Sporting Regulations, the following quantities and type of tyre are confirmed for use.

7.1.1 Tyres specified for use during the rally for the national cars See appendix 8 – Specific items for national cars Information concerning the tyre choice is to be announced by Bulletin. Special attention is also drawn to FIA WRC Sporting Regulations Art. 13.1

7.2. Tyres for use on reconnaissance Only road-homologated series production tyres for asphalt are allowed (2020 FIA WRC SR Art. 35.2).

7.3. Tyre marking zones Contrary to WRC Art 13.8 – the Tyre Marking Zone will not be accessible to Profile 1 Attendees. The crews must work in this location without the support of an additional crew member.

The tyre marking zone for Section 1 is located after TC 0.

8. FUEL All drivers except as stipulated in point Art. 8.3 must use FIA fuel as provided by the FIA appointed supplier. See Art. 61 and 62 of the 2020 FIA WRC SR. For environmental and safety reasons, all competitors must refuel in the designated refuel zones.

The RFZ will operate a ticketless process – crews must wear PPE while in the Refuel Zone. A member of the crew will open the vehicle to allow an operative to attach the pipework. The crew will be responsible to indicate to the refueller the amount of fuel required. The crew shall close the vehicle and secure the opening once the requested amount of fuel has been added.

8.1. Ordering procedure Competitors must notify their fuel requirements to the supplier at the following address:

8.3. Distribution for RGT and Non-priority competitors All R-GT and non-priority competitors must use fuel provided by the supplier of the 2020 Belgian Rally Championship in the official refuel zone stated in the Road Book.

9. RECONNAISSANCE See also Art. 35 in the 2020 FIA WRC Sporting Regulations. Schedule for the reconnaissance is published in Appendix 2 of these supplementary regulations.

9.1. Procedure for registration A reconnaissance registration form, duly completed, including details of the reconnaissance car, driver and co-driver names, Competitor’s accommodation during the rally and team’s contact phone number has to be sent by e-mail to [email protected] latest by Monday 2 November. The form will be published in the Competitors section on www.ypresrally.com.

Identification numbers distributed during the Collection of Materials and Documents shall be affixed on the car (top right corner of the windscreen, both side windows, rear window) and must be kept visible for the duration of the reconnaissance period.

9.1.1 Participation in reconnaissance only Any driver holding an appropriate international license but not entered in the rally may apply to take part in the reconnaissance. The regulations on reconnaissance must be respected in their entirety. A registration form for this purpose will be sent on request. The final permission for taking part in recce is left to the discretion of the organiser. An administrative fee of € 1.000 will be charged.

9.2. GPS Tracking distribution and collection points With reference to Art. 35.4.4 of the 2020 FIA WRC Sporting Regulations, all cars must carry recce GPS trackers for speed control during reconnaissance.

Payment In order to minimize the face to face contact with competitors and speed up the collection process, competitors must process all payments for the rental of the SAS GPS reconnaissance tracking device through the online store https://wrc.statusas.com/shop/recce/ (Select in the shop ‘P1, P2, P3’ or ‘P4 and Non-Priority’) Only after rental fee is paid can competitors collect the tracker from the SAS Truck during the times outlined in SR 3.2 and above.

9.3. Specific and national restrictions

9.3.1 Passages Crews are authorised to drive a maximum of 2 times through each in accordance with the schedule provided in Appendix 2 of these supplementary regulations. The special stages must be driven in the same direction as the rally, at a reduced speed and fully respecting the Traffic Laws. All special stages are run twice during the rally but may only be driven as one stage during recce. All passages through the special stages will be recorded by the marshals.

Exceptionally SS 4/9 and SS 13/18 driving the opposite directions is partly allowed as indicated on the reconnaissance route specified in the road book.

A reconnaissance road book will be supplied which will detail the routes to use between every stage during the reconnaissance; these will often not be the same as the main event road book. Competitors are required to follow these specific reconnaissance routes.

Recce control cards will not be used. The crew members must, however, ensure that their recce number is recorded on the marshal’s check sheet at the special stage starts and finishes and at other checkpoints, if any.

The fitting or carrying of radar detection equipment during reconnaissance is not permitted. During reconnaissance, competitors will be free to service their reconnaissance cars, as in WRC Art 35.4.7.

9.3.2 Speed limits During reconnaissance, all national traffic regulation must be followed on special stages, unless another speed limit is indicated by traffic signs or by written instructions in the Road Book (or in bulletins). All crews are reminded of Art. 34.2 in the 2020 FIA WRC Sporting Regulations.

10. ADMINISTRATIVE CHECKS

10.1. Procedure All drivers may send a representative of the Crew, duly notified to the Organiser in advance (authorised person noted on the entry form) to present all documents requested in SR Art. 10.2.

The entry form must be signed by both crew members and the competitor and presented in printed format by the representative of the team during the Administrative checks.

10.2. Documents to be presented At administrative checks the following documents will be checked: ● Competitors’ license ● Drivers’ and co-drivers’ competition licenses ● Drivers’ and co-drivers’ valid driving licenses (non-EU resident drivers and co-drivers must present a driving license valid in the EU) ● Drivers’ and co-drivers’ passports or identification ● ASN authorization for all foreign competitors (if required) ● Completion of all details on the entry form ● Car registration papers

11. SCRUTINEERING, SEALING & MARKING

The scrutineering area and the equipment contained therein will be used by multiple Groups during the events. The FIA will put in place necessary resources to clean all touch surfaces (including equipment) within the scrutineering area between uses by different Groups.

● Scrutineering – 1 or max 2 people for Car, (2 if required to remove underbody protection / 1 person for Checking the Equipment / 1 person for sealing Spare Parts. PPE is required for all team members entering scrutineering. ● Minimize the number of people entering the Team Area to seal/mark components and where possible work 2m apart – e.g. on opposite sides of the car. ● Joker parts nomination (for eligible WRC/Rally2 cars) to be submitted in advance to wrc- [email protected] ● Tyre Marking – Will be in High Density Area – but with no access to Teams, crews to replace spare wheel themselves. ● During an event, Scrutineers will need to enter the team service areas to undertake their duties, they will be required to wear a face mask. ● At the End of Stage, to show that crews are wearing the correct clothing – please help scrutineers by showing sleeves.

The homologation form of the rally car and certificates on roll cage and fuel tank must be brought to scrutineering. The bodyshell and engine will be marked with a special device and the competitor must prepare their car (on a visible place) in order to fit a wire, a plate and a seal on the engine block.

11.2. Mud flaps (Appendix J Article 252.7.7) Fitting of transversal mud flaps (all wheels) is not mandatory in conformity with Appendix J, Art. 252.7.7.

11.3. Windows / Nets (Appendix J Article 253.11) The use of silvered or tinted films is authorised, on the rear side windows, on the rear window and on the sunroof, in accordance with Appendix J, Art. 253.11, is authorised in Belgium. Silvered or tinted films fitted on rear side windows must have an opening equivalent to the surface of a circle of 70 mm in diameter so that the driver as well as the contents of the car may be seen from the outside.

11.4. Drivers’ safety equipment Drivers safety equipment will be checked at scrutineering. For specifications, see Appendix 5

11.5. Noise level At any time on the road sections, the noise level must be in conformity with Appendix J. See also 2020 FIA WRC SR Art. 18.4.

11.6. Special national requirements ● Belgian registered cars need a certificate of C.T.A. (Automobiel Keuring / Contrôle Technique); ● Each car must be equipped with one red reflective triangle and a first aid kit in conformity with EU traffic regulations; ● Two belt cutters must be carried on board at all times. They must be easily accessible to driver and co-driver when seated with fastened belts.

11.7. Safety Tracking System In accordance with Art. 53.2.1 of the 2020 FIA WRC Sporting Regulations, all competitors must make provisions in their rally cars for the installation of the FIA Safety Emergency Console System and the emergency button, and the system must be installed before the car is brought to scrutineering. For Installation instructions see Appendix 6. Systems may be collected either by the crew or a representative.

12. OTHER PROCEDURES AND REGULATIONS

12.1. Shakedown

12.1.1 Schedule Shakedown for priority competitors will take place on Friday 20 November according to following schedule:

P1 and other drivers as requested 08:31 – 10:00 All Priority competitors 10:01 – 11:00

12.1.2 Location SD Langemark 9,81 km Distance from Ypres Service Park: 7 km

All P1 competitors and other drivers as invited will be required to complete their first passage of Shakedown in order of Championship classification and at an interval as determined by the Organiser in consultation with the FIA and WRC Promoter. A start list for this first passage will be published on Thursday 19 November at 17:00. At the conclusion of these fixed passages, P1 competitors and other drivers as invited will be able to continue their Shakedown runs with one minute intervals.

Wednesday and Thursday test

For P2, P3, P4, R-GT and Non-priority competitors there will be optional tests organised as follows; ● Wednesday 18 November 17:00 - 23:00 in Boezinge ● Thursday 19 November 18:00 - 23:00 in Nieuwkerke *

* In case of any delay at scrutineering, the technical checks take priority over any participation in the Thursday test stage.

See further details in Rally Guide. Participation fee will be charged to P4 and non-priority entries.

12.1.3 Passengers Competitors are reminded that any person on board the car during Shakedown who is not entered for Renties Ypres Rally, is not permitted by Belgian law.

12.2. Ceremonial start There is no ceremonial start.

12.3. Start procedure and order The official start of the rally will be on Friday 20 November at 13:10 at TC 0 at the Service OUT.

12.4. Finish procedure The finish of the competition element of the Rally and the Podium ceremony will take place at Circuit de Francorchamps on Sunday 22 November. The finish is at TC 23B. After the Power stage the prize giving for the top three overall will be broadcast live in TV from the podium at the end of SS23. After finishing the Power Stage and checking in at TC 23A, all cars must immediately proceed to the holding area before the podium and follow the instructions from the marshals. After the prize giving for the top three overall, the prize giving for all other competitors will follow. After completing the finish ceremony all cars (except cars subject to final checks) remain under parc fermé regulations and must be driven to the final Parc Fermé.

12.5. Permitted early check-in Teams/crews are authorised to check in early without incurring a penalty, at: ● TC 9C (End of Section 2) ● TC 9D (Parc Fermé IN) ● TC 19C (End of Section 4) ● TC 19D (Parc Fermé IN) ● TC 23B (End of Section 7)

12.6. Change of time card during the rally The complete set of time cards for the whole rally (including the Shakedown time cards for all drivers affected under WRC Art. 36.2.2) will be delivered with the rally materials at administrative checks. It is imperative for all crews to carry at least all the time card sets for a whole day inside the car (cf. for example procedures at regrouping controls).

12.7. Any special procedures

12.7.1 Start order Section 7 The start order for Section 7 will conform to WRC SR 50.3.

12.7.2 Power Stage With reference to Art. 50 in the 2020 FIA WRC Sporting Regulations SS 23 Wolf Powerstage WRX will be run as the “Power Stage”.

12.7.3 Promotional activities Promotional activities, if any, will be published in a Bulletin.

12.7.4 Environmental prescriptions Teams are obligated to follow the directions and objectives in the Organisers environmental policy. Further information will be published in Rally Guide 1 and 2.

12.7.5 Onboard cameras As per article 18.1 of the WRC Regulations, the competitor of any car which carries an on-board camera, must have the prior agreement of the Promoter. Authorised cameras will be identified by an adhesive decal and must be mounted in the car at the time of scrutineering.

12.8. Official time used during the rally Official time throughout the rally will be CET, DCF clock (Frankfurt Radio tower).

12.9. Restart after retirement / Final retirement a. WRC Art. 54.1.1: Confirmation of a final retirement must be communicated by e-mail / WhatsApp, but only by the duly authorised competitor’s representative (cf. Art. 2.9 Official Notice Board) to CRO b. WRC Art. 54.1.2: Competitors who have retired are not required to hand in their time card. c. WRC Art. 55.1.1 (Repairs prior to a re-start): ● Priority drivers will not be provided with a time card for the 3-hour repair time after retirement. ● P1/P4 drivers: The rally official in attendance at the allocated bay will keep a check sheet and record the start of the 3-hour service time. The rally official at the entrance to the overnight parc fermé will also keep a check sheet to record the time of the car finishing service and entering the overnight parc fermé. ● Other priority drivers: After arrival in the pre-service parc fermé, the rally official in attendance at the control Parc fermé OUT/Service IN will keep a check sheet and record the start of the 3-hour service time. The rally official at the entrance to the overnight parc fermé will also keep a check sheet to record the time of the car finishing service and entering the overnight parc fermé.

12.10. Route note cars Following the FIA 2020 WRC SR Art. 9.6one route note car may be used for each driver entered with a World Rally car or eligible to score points in the WRC2 Championship.

Route Note cars will be identified by the organiser and they must follow speed limits as stipulated in Appendix 7 of these Supplementary regulations.

12.11. Flexi-Service B & E Procedures for P1 drivers Service B & E is a Flexi Service for P1 competitors only. The procedure is as follows: P1 competitors upon check-in in at TC5A/TC14A, crews will be informed of their due check-in time at TC5C/TC14C (Flexi Service OUT). After having completed the checks at the Technical Zone, crews will immediately drive their cars into their service bays where the start and the end of the allowed 30’ service time will be controlled by rally officials. After servicing, the car shall (again) be isolated by ropes until it is driven to TC6C/TC14C by the crew. Any service in excess of the single, uninterrupted, 30’ will be reported to the Stewards, who will apply time penalties even if the crew checks in at TC6C/TC14C on their due time

12.12. Exhibition driving Exhibition driving will only be allowed in the dedicated area on the tarmac part after the FF of SS23.

13. Cars subject to final checks (decision by the Stewards and announced to the competitor concerned at TC 23B) must have one representative of the competitor as well as mechanics (in case of dismantling) present at the final check. Cars subject to final checks will be announced to the competitors concerned via WhatsApp.

15.2. Protest deposit fees The international protest deposit is: € 1.000

15.2.1. Additional fees In the case of protests referring to the alleged non-compliance of an automobile, an additional deposit may be specified by the stewards in accordance with Art. 13.4.3 of the FIA International Sporting Code.

15.3. Appeal deposit fees The international appeal deposit is: € 6.000

As provided for in FIA ISC Art. 11.9.4, the official notice board will be the digital notice board, published on the Event website. There will also be communication with the Sportity app. There will be no physical official notice board. All competitors will be informed by Sportity/e-mail/WhatsApp about the publication of any documents on the digital notice board.

APPENDIX 4 – Decals and positioning of supplementary advertising

The organiser’s obligatory and optional advertising on the doors, roof and rear window plates will be announced in a Bulletin.

1 – Front door panels with competition number, 2 / car 67 x 17 cm. The top of the plate shall be placed between 7 cm and 10 cm below the bottom window line. No other signage shall be placed within 10 cm of the plate.

2 – Front plate with competition number, 1 / car 43 x 21.5 cm One plate placed on the bonnet of the car

3 – Rear window panel, 1 / car 30 x 10 cm One panel for the rear window, to be placed at the bottom in the centre of the rear window

4 – Rear window competition number, 1 / car 14 cm high One competition number for the rear window.

5 – Roof panel with competition number, 1 / car 50 x 52 cm Placed on the roof with the top towards the front of the car.

6 – Rear side windows, 2 / car 20 cm high These numbers shall be placed on the rear side windows adjacent to the crew’s name. The first initial(s) and surname of both driver and the co-driver, followed by the national flags of their passport nationalities, must appear on the rear side window on both sides of the car, adjacent to the competition number. For further details see 2020 FIA WRC Sporting Regulations.

Championship identification and advertising Each priority car entered in the Manufacturers’, WRC2, WRC3 and/or Junior WRC Championships must use the appropriate sticker sets provided by the Promoter. All other competitors must carry the appropriate sticker sets if requested by the Promoter.

7 – Championship door plates, 2 / car 67 x 6 cm Two panels on both front doors, immediately under the front door panels

8 – Windscreen identification, 1 / car 15 cm high and full width of the windscreen

In accordance with the ruling of the French Traffic Laws concerning identification of rally cars and upon request of the French Motor Sport Federation: All the competing cars will have a supplementary identification number applied on the car in the right upper right corner of the windscreen (under the windscreen strip), this for the whole duration of the Event. This number will correspond with the competition number and will have the following dimensions: 13 cm wide and 10 cm high. It will be the letter format will be Helvetica 9 cm high with a minimum thickness of 14mm, black on white support. The sticker will be included in the competitor package.

Dashboard space - A space up to 10 cm high and 20 cm wide on the dashboard of the car and within view of the on-board Camera of the Championship Promoter.

APPENDIX 5 – Extracts from FIA ISC Appendix L relating to overalls, helmets and any other safety requirements All competitors are reminded of Appendix L of the FIA International Sporting Code, in particular its Chapter III - Drivers’ Equipment. These regulations apply also for Shakedown.

Helmets (Appendix L, Chapter III, Art. 1) All crews must wear crash helmets homologated to one of the following FIA standards: ● 8858-2002 or 8858-2010 (Technical List N°41), ● 8859-2015 (Technical List N°49), ● 8860-2004 or 8860-2010 (Technical List N°33), or ● 8860-2018 or 8860-2018-ABP (Technical List N°69) ● P1 drivers and their co-drivers must wear helmets according to the FIA standard 8860-2018 or 8860- 2018-ABP

Frontal Head Restraint (FHR, Appendix L, Chapter III, Art. 3) All crews must use FIA approved FHR systems homologated to FIA standard 8858. Approved FHRs, anchorages and tethers are listed in Technical List N° 29. See also helmet compatibility chart in Appendix L, Chapter III, Art. 3.3.

Flame-resistant clothing (Appendix L, Chapter III, Art. 2) All drivers and co-drivers must wear overalls as well as gloves (optional for co-drivers), long underwear, a balaclava, socks and shoes homologated to the FIA 8856-2000 standard (Technical List N°27) or 8856- 2018 (Technical List N° 74). Please pay special attention to the prescriptions of Art. 2 concerning embroidery and printing on flame-resistant clothing (manufacturer certificates etc.) as well as concerning the correct wearing of the clothing elements! See also Regional Rally Sporting Regulations, Article 53.1. For P1 drivers and their co-drivers, the wearing or equipment homologated to the FIA 8856-2018 standard is obligatory.

Biometric Devices (Appendix L, Chapter III, Art. 2.1) Drivers may wear a device to collect biometric data during racing. ● If the biometric device is integrated into a protective garment homologated to FIA Standard 8856, the garment shall be homologated to FIA Standards 8856 and 8868-2018. ● If the biometric device is a stand-alone device, then the device must be homologated to FIA Standard 8868-2018 only. This device must be worn in addition to the garment homologated to FIA Standard 8856.

Wearing of jewellery (Appendix L, Chapter III, Art. 5) The wearing of jewellery in the form of body piercing or metal neck chains is prohibited during the competition and may therefore be checked before the start.

The SAS System is designed to increase competition safety by providing safety notifications to inform event management, improve response times and provide accurate and reliable event times.

APPENDIX 7 – Speed limits during reconnaissance and road sections General National Traffic rule: Immediate withdrawal of the driving license for 15 days + fine of EUR 550,00 up to EUR 2.750,00 in case of: ● Exceeding the maximum speed limit in whatever the circumstances on any road (see table below) ● Exceeding the maximum speed limit in very bad weather conditions, i.e. in the event of fog or snowfall reducing visibility to less than 100m, and in case of heavy rain, on any road. ● In possession of a radar detecting device. Foreign drivers must, pay the fine immediately on the spot. The vehicle will be seized on the spot when payment is refused.

APPENDIX 8 – Specific items for national cars A8.1. General Competitors in national classes must follow all prescriptions of the FIA WRC Sporting Regulations and these Supplementary Regulations (SR), unless stated otherwise or different prescriptions are given in this Appendix 8. National cars may participate in Renties Ypres Rally under the prescriptions of FIA WRC, Art. 12.3, on the following conditions: • the cars conform with RACB technical regulations listed below in Art. A8.2. • the crew and competitor have valid international license’s from RACB.

A8.2. Eligible cars National classes of cars ● Belgian nationally RACB homologated cars as shown in the table below may participate in the Ypres Rally, without eligibility to score WRC points. ● Those cars will appear in the classifications without WRC points eligibility, without interacting on the eligible points of the WRC drivers but competing for the points of the Belgian Rally Championship. ● The non-FIA RACB homologated cars will be scrutineered by the RACB National Scrutineers present on the event. These cars must also comply with the WRC regulations as listed below. ● The whole content of the Supplementary Regulations of the RYR 2020 remains applicable for all drivers of the nationally homologated cars, especially concerning the use of fuel and tyres.

All cars and Drivers must comply with all 2020 FIA Safety Regulations Appendix J Art. 253 Appendix L and all other applicable provisions and procedures stipulated in the present Regulations (e.g. tyres, barcodes, fuel, restart regulations etc.)

A8.3. Tyres - National laws or special requirements All cars must be fitted with moulded tyres. Hand cutting of the specified tread pattern is not allowed (Art. 13.1.2 RACB Sporting Regulations).

Art. 13.7 of the RACB Belgian Rally Championship regulation regarding the tyre control card (“Tyre card”) will be applicable to all cars. “Tyre cards” will be distributed during scrutineering.
