The T-word Smithtown, L.I.: Do not call Ammon and Ryan Bundy and their ilk “protesters.” Let’s all just label them what they really are: terrorists. Heavily armed individuals occupied a federal facility using the threat of violence to further their political cause. That right there is the literal denition of terrorism. So why is everyone afraid to use the T-word here? Because they are white. The racism at work here is blatant, and to our government Native American lives matter much less than white lives, which unfortunately, given this country’s bloody history, really is no surprise at all. Kira Karabedian Holster them Houston: After the acquittal in the Oregon standoff, I believe there should be extensive regulation on gun ownership and use. Second, I would like to say that it’s us, the people, who determine whether or not a law is right. This means that as a juror, if I don’t believe a law is right, I can side against it. I understand what the jurors may have been thinking in setting aside the charges in the case. Yara Abdin Fall girl Tobyhana, Pa.: Now that the FBI is reexamining the investigation into Hillary Clinton, I wonder if my prayer will be answered, Hillary for jail! Of course not. The sleazy Clintons will have Huma take the fall. Joseph Matarazzo Jim’s whim : Re the FBI director’s convenient timing: Once a Republican, always a Republican. After constant pressure of the GOP, and 11 days before the election, FBI Director Jim Comey springs a new investigation. Give me a break! Mort Gerard Why, guy? Manhattan: It is a terrible thing that the director of the FBI seems intent on using his agency to torpedo a candidate for President. Between his personal opinion saying at the time the FBI decided that there wasn’t grounds to prosecute, and the timing of Friday’s news, his motives are clear. The question is why? Does he hate the idea of reporting to a woman? Or does he hope that under Trump he can turn the FBI into the KGB and rule his own little efdom? Alice Curtis Pravda Freehold, N.J.: If WikiLeaks is releasing Hillary Clinton’s e-mail information, where is WikiLeaks getting it? The information is being supplied by Russia — duh! Then Russia must have hacked the e-mails, making Donald Trump’s assertion correct. Richard Doll He the man Centereach, L.I.: Say what you will about Donald Trump: He still has my vote. I am not a chauvinist, and I believe it’s time for a woman President, just not this one. So, if I have to, I will vote for the lesser of the two evils. Peter Cutignola Extinct this Manhattan: T-Rump is a dinosaur. Let’s see if he goes the same way. Harvey Newman Hush money Bronxville, N.Y.: One question: How much is Donald Trump paying ex-wife No. 1 Ivana and ex-wife No. 2 Marla to keep quiet? Just asking. Jean A. Wilson Mic drop Bronx: During the vice presidential debate, Tim Kaine interrupted Mike Pence so many times, it was annoying. My husband had the best solution: Shut off the microphone of the candidate who is supposed to be listening rather than talking over the other candidate. Linda Ranallo Judgment time Jersey City: Dick Morris deserves recognition for his book “Armageddon.” It is a must-read for everyone before Election Day. It is also urgent for the presidential winner to pick conservative Supreme Court justices. Clare Genzlinger Feline idea Manhattan: The Alliance for NYC’s Animals would love to see a city-approved “bodega ” program in place, whereby delis and bodegas would adopt spayed/neutered, -vaccinated from Animal Care Centers of NYC with the understanding that the store owners would feed and care for the cats. This would help increase adoptions from our city shelters, and the cats would provide natural, non-toxic rodent control while being “part of the family.” Kathleen O’Malley, Alliance for NYC’s Animals Gore’s hot air Bedford, N.Y.: Karenna Gore’s fearmongering about the Algonquin pipeline (“A pipeline, people and the planet,” Op-Ed, Oct. 26) ignores the reality that natural gas is the cleanest fossil fuel embraced by environmentalists for decades. We’re many years away from renewables being ready to power metro New York, especially given our state’s “Not In My Back Yard” attitude. A very real danger is that people will go cold in the winter because they lack reliable energy. Furthermore, the independent Nuclear Regulatory Commission has determined that the pipeline poses no risk to Indian Point — a plant whose 2,000 megawatts of emission-free energy actually help to reduce the need for natural gas, another boon for clean air. Anyone who cares about the environment and our communities should support the pipeline and Indian Point. Nan Hayworth, former member of Congress Lights out Ozone Park: I would like to know why, in a city with rising crime, has the Department of Transportation decided to replace our once-bright street lights with these dull and dingy lights. As I drive around my neighborhood, I notice the streets are much darker. In fact, I struggle to see my neighbor’s house across the street. It was once very visible and is now very dark. I also notice having a harder time seeing pedestrians on side streets while driving. I urge every citizen to complain to their City Council representative. I can’t believe the city is wasting money the way it does by making things worse. The only reason I can think of for the city actually changing these street lamps to the LEDs and making us less safe is because Mike Bloomberg probably owns the bulb company and is cashing in on our safety.
