J.; Footnotes WAR CHANT was outrun early, raced well back to the turn, circled six wide leaving the quarter pole, checked briefly at the top of the stretch then finished strongly in the middle of the track to get up in the final strides. NORTH EAST BOUND sprinted clear soon after the start, set the pace under pressure while saving ground for six furlongs, dug in when challenged in upper stretch, battled heads apart into deep stretch and yielded grudgingly. DANSILI (GB) was unhurried early, raced well back to the turn, launched a rally at the top of the stretch, altered course to the inside while rapidly gaining in midstretch then finished full of run but could not get up. AFFIRMED SUCCESS forced the pace from outside for six furlongs, made a run to challenge in upper stretch, drew on even terms with the leader leaving the furlong marker then weakened slightly in the late stages. MUHTATHIR (GB) settled in good position while saving ground, raced just behind the leaders to the turn, rallied along the inside to threaten in upper stretch then checked slightly between horses in deep stretch. ALTIBR checked in tight between horses entering the first turn and also approaching the backstretch, was unhurried for five furlongs, launched a rally between horses at the top of the stretch then improved his position with a late run between horses. FORBIDDEN APPLE raced within striking distance between horses into upper stretch and finished evenly. LADIES DIN raced well back for a half, rallied inside the winner while five wide on the turn, checked in tight a sixteenth out and failed to threaten thereafter. HAP chased the leaders while four wide into upper stretch and lacked a strong closing bid. DISTANT MUSIC failed to mount a serious rally. KING CUGAT outrun early, swung seven wide on the turn, appeared to clip the winner's heels entering the stretch, then had no further response. WALKSLIKEADUCK raced in the middle of the pack while four wide and tired. INDIAN LODGE (IRE) was outrun early after breaking slowly, rallied along the inside on the turn and flattened out. ARKADIAN HERO delayed the start while fractious in the gate, then hesitated at the start and was never a factor. Copyright 2009 Equibase Company LLC. All Rights Reserved..
